Top Things to know about Bakersfield, California
Too Things to Know About Bakersfield.
All Right! So you're thinking about moving to Bakersfield! You're going to get asked some questions like: Does it get hot there? Where is it again? And, what do you do there?
Yes, it does get hot here!
We have big companies here, we have small companies. And we are getting an Amazon Distribution Center here as well. Not sure if we're going to have same day delivery, but if we do that would be so cool. That is supposed to be open by the end of 2019. So exciting.
The next thing to know about living here in Bakersfield is that you can get to Southern California in less than 2 hours. You can get to Chavez Ravine if you want to see the Dodgers.
If you want to go to Northern California to cities like Fresno, Modesto, the Bay Area you're looking at another day trip, 3 to 4 hours.
If you don't want to drive that far, the Kern River is in our backyard. And it runs all the way through town.
We have lots of activities for kids as well. California Living Museum and the Kern County Museum are favorites.
And last but not least, Homeownership. Owning a home here in Bakersfield is hot commodity here in the State of California. If you're looking for a retirement community here in Bakersfield, we have many of those as well.
If you're a millennial then this is the place for you too.
The National Association of Realtors put out an article that stated Bakersfield is THE place to move if you're a first time home buying millennial. You can own a home in a community with a Homeowners Assocation or just a regular house all on its own. Or if you want New Construction that is here as well...whatever your price point, we have it here.
