Generals Highway Northbound - Sequoia National Park, Sequoia NF, Kings Canyon National Park
Traveling over the whole Generals Highway, crossing Sequoia National Park, Sequoia National Forest and Kings Canyon National Park. The video shows Generals Highway northbound - from the Ash Mountain entrance to Sequoia National Park to the Big Stump entrance (exit) to Kings Canyon National Park.
Generals Highway - this is its proper spelling - is a 52.3-kilometer (32.5-mile) Californian highway connecting Highway 198 and Highway 180. It is one of the most scenic roads in the United States - and, in my opinion, in the world. Generals Highway crosses the Sequoia National Park, the Giant Sequoia National Monument section of the Sequoia National Forest and Kings Canyon National Park.

Saber Ridge Traverse, Sequoia NP
Dennis, Pat, Scott, and I hike 15.5 miles into Sequoia National Park to Lake Tamarack to get on The Saber Ridge Traverse.
I can definitely recommend this climb to anyone who loves long, easy climbing with a ton of exposure. I'm hoping to get a trip report up at some point in the future, but until then feel free to ask questions if you're looking for advice. Here is a short recap anyway.
We planned on starting on the High Sierra Trail, but all of the wilderness passes for that trail were gone for the July 4th weekend, so we started at Wolverton, heading toward Alta Peak. There is a trail that connects to the High Sierra Trail. We hiked 10 miles the first day, camping at Buck Creek, which has a bear box and easy access to water. The second day we spent hiking the remaining 5.5 miles and recovering for the next day. We climbed the route on the 3rd day, after waking up at 3am. After getting back down into the meadow, we packed up our stuff and hiked back to Buck Creek since it's mostly downhill. We hiked out the last 10 miles and drove home on the 4th day.

This hike takes you up to the old log flumes as well as some beautiful spots to take pictures, have a lunch, and just escape for a little bit.
Josh if you ever come across my videos, I just want to say thank you!, for giving me the inspiration and motivation to get out and be active again.
Sequoia National Park is my backyard, it is a place where I grew up and spent a lot of time with my family.
Thanks again.
