Camping under an overhang in Canyonlands National Park, Utah
This is actually an authorized tent site at the Wooden Shoe campground in Canyonlands National Park, Utah. I try avoiding the use of a tent whenever possible so a tree or overhang does offer some protection from unexpected rains! But, my real preference is to sleep out in the open, completely free of obstructions, so that I can view the wonderful nighttime sky in its entirety!
Anyway, Canyonlands National Park is located in southeastern Utah near the town of Moab. It's a colorful, fantastical landscape that's been eroded by the Colorado and Green Rivers into countless canyons, mesas, and buttes.
Legislation creating the park was signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson on September 12, 1964.
The park is divided into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze, and the rivers themselves. While these areas share a primitive desert atmosphere, each retains its own character.
Author Edward Abbey (Cactus Ed, whom I met privately with a few years before his passing...) was a frequent visitor who described Canyonlands as ...the most weird, wonderful, magical place on earth—there is nothing else like it anywhere.

Mountain Biking Avery Trail in Crested Butte, Colorado
Mountain biking Avery Trail in Crested Butte, Colorado. Evolution Bike Park would play host to this year's Big Mountain Enduro Finals event and this track was stage 7. Join Krunk Shox, Duncan Nason, Mason Bond, and a host of others, as we practice this stage before the race. Stage 7 actually ran on a section of Boulder Mason near the bottom of the track. FollowCamFriday, Season 2, Episode 9. All 4k, all the time.
Crested Butte just received 100 inches of snow over the last week and that got me reminiscing about last summer. Safe to say that Avery is thoroughly covered. This was shot in September 2016.

MONUMENT VALLEY WITH THE JEEP! // EFRT EP 40
EPIC Family Road Trip Episode 39 // This episode kicks off with us reading some of your comments on our last video about tips on preventing bike theft, and how to find your bikes if they do get stolen. Hopefully these tips can be helpful to anyone who is also traveling with bikes, and thank you to everyone for your comments on all our social media’s after last weeks episode. After that we take you along with us on an epic journey to Monument Valley where we explore the historic town on Goulding, and the original Goulding’s trade post museum. We then head into the valley for an EPIC drive through the incredible monument. We encounter wind and and dust storms, snow, and mustang horses roaming the desert! We then head to the breathtaking Goosenecks Sate Park, and drive along the rim of the 1,000 ft canyon. We also stop for lunch in the small but beautiful town of Mexican Hat, and drive down the world famous Monument Valley Road where the iconic Forrest Gump running scene was filmed!

How This Man Profited $1 Billion Betting on Hong Kong Horse Races
Bill Benter, is a reserved unassuming and media shy pittsburg resident who made almost 1 billion dollars by gambling on horse races.
The man was a mathematical genius who was on the cutting edge of both computer science and statistical modelling so it is widely assumed with his business knowledge that he could have made money just about anywhere, in a rare interview when asked about his success in horse racing he said, “I was driven only partly by money, I believe I probably could have made more money in finance, but that didn’t interest me, I didn’t get into professional horse racing because it was hard, but because it was said to be impossible”
I am now moving to an upload schedule of every week on Wednesday.
As always I have attached references to this video below. If you have any further questions please feel free to discuss in the comments section and I will do my very best to answer everything to the best of my ability.

Brasada Ranch - Hat Rock Homesites 2014
Client footage of Hat Rock Homesites at Brasada Ranch outside of Bend, Oregon
At Brasada Ranch, you trade in meetings, the daily commute and the multitude of daily responsibilities, for a 3-wood, a fly rod, a pair of skis, a saddle, and so much more. Here you are free to pursue a very coveted life.
This 1,800-acre slice of Central Oregon lays claim to big skies and even bigger views - only minutes outside the urban setting of Bend, but with an entirely different experience of life.
The Hat Rock homesites represent the final phase of Brasada Ranch's original master plan -- which marks a very significant milestone for their very special resort community.
Imagine yourself, comfortably seated on your expansive deck, in a breathtaking environment connected to nature from the height of these homesites on the east side of the Powell Butte, you'll experience sunsets and sweeping vistas that will literally take your breath away. The sunsets from here seem to linger in the sky, as if to inspire a watercolor painting.

Silk 3 Axis Brushless Gimbal
Sony NEX 5T with Sony 20mm & 50mm
Editing
Final Cut Pro X at 1080p 29.97p
For most of my edits, I stabilize and color correct.
Camera Settings:
I shot in standard mode dropping the Contrast to -2 and bumping the Sharpness up 1, left the Saturation at 0. I shot in AP setting F7.1 or F8 when ever possible, adjusting ISO with the intent of keeping my shutter speed over 125, shooting 1080p 60p.
Editing:
I usually bump saturation 20%, adjusted contrast in shadows, highlights and mid-tones when needed. Some clips will have 3-5 layers of color correction happening with one overall base layer and then working from the sky down to get the look and feel.
I used a combination of FPV (first person view) and line of sight on my Quadcopter. The FPV I view on a monitor attached to my radio. You can also find this at XProHeli's website listed above.
I hope this video inspires your imagination for what can be possible when you add aerial footage to your edits.
I'm never opposed to being sponsored, collaborating with other photographers, videographers, YouTubers or selling some of my work. I can always use cash for more equipment, warm weather gear, camera's, computer's, editing software, fuel and of course travel so I can hit more locations.
Anything else, just hit me up or leave me a comment. I appreciate you watching and do ask that you subscribe to my channel. Thanks

Moab Rock Crawling: A Moab Jeep Adventure
My friends and I took our Jeeps to Moab and went rock crawling. We wheeled several trails- Metal Masher, Hey Joe Canyon, and Hell's Revenge. My Rubicon was fantastic off-roading. This was my first time Jeeping in Moab and I can't wait to go back! The scenery was gorgeous and the wheeling, unbelievable. Hell's Gate was a great climb. It's weird seeing it in person. My friends stayed in a vacation rental and I was overlanding at the Moab KOA. Next time I want to camp on BLM land to really take it all in. A note on my transfer case- I did replace the unit bearing in Moab and that obviously didn't solve the noise. On the trail we couldn't pinpoint where the noise was coming from but in person it sounded like a bad bearing. It ended up being a plastic retaining tab on a shift fork slipped, which let two gear gently touch inside the case. Utah is an unbelievably beautiful state and I want to explore more of it in my Jeep. In this trip my Jeep features 35 Treadwright MT Claw 2 tires, a Freespirit Recreation rooftop tent, and a Metalcloak 2.5 lift.
Ep. 95: Green River Kayak Camping | Utah kayaking Canyonlands National Park
A voyage down the final 100 miles of the Green River by kayak, canoe or raft, through the Labyrinth Canyon and Stillwater Canyon into Utah's Canyonlands National Park, is an epic bucket list camping trip. It's also the only way to see this part of Canyonlands. We spend eight days on the river, encountering other river travelers from four other states and two other countries along the way. We find remnants of ancient people dating from 200 to 1,200 years old, including the Outlaw Cabin and Anasazi cliff dwellings. We descend through numerous layers of the earth’s crust, passing through two seasons. Throughout it all, though, the river is our constant, yet moody companion; at times our lover and best friend, and at other times our worst enemy, the river is alive -- a living, breathing creature that dominates our lives for days on end.
FOR MORE INFORMATION
Separate river permits are required from the BLM for Labyrinth Canyon, and from Canyonlands National Park for Stillwater Canyon. The Labyrinth Canyon permit requires little more than filling out a form and carrying the required gear, while the permit for Stillwater Canyon requires a bit more arduous and bureaucratic process and while there’s no lottery involved, permits are limited by the number of people who can be shuttled by outfitters from The Confluence or Spanish Bottom. Ruby Ranch’s owners also charge a fee for those who choose to launch their boats there, although there are alternative put-ins at Crystal Geyser and in the town of Green River.
Applications and more information may be found at:
* BLM Labyrinth Canyon
* Canyonlands National Park river permits
Two outfitters are permitted to provide shuttle services from Spanish Bottom to Moab and also provide guided expeditions:
* Tag-A-Long Expeditions
* Tex’s Riverways

ABOUT US
Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, nearly always filmed in stunning 4K.
We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the western U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and our dogs Zoe and Maggie are avid boondockers, so you'll seldom find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds. We'll provide tips and insight on equipping and maintaining your RV, trip planning and travel videos to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember...life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!
