1 hour | Square Marie-Louise Fountain, Brussels, Belgium
The gorgeous, large-scaled fountain in Square Marie Louise was built by Gédéon Bordiau in 1880. Located in the middle of one of Brussels’ six remaining ponds and surrounded by greenery and beautiful Art Nouveau architecture, it’s good for afternoon strolls and chilling out on a bench. Bring some bread for the ducks and pigeons.

Exhibition reveals the timeless style of Italy's last Queen
LEADIN:
Royal gowns worn by the last Queen of Italy are being shown in an exhibition in Turkey.
Queen Marie Jos was a style icon of her time and the display reflects the timeless taste the Royal wardrobe from the 1930s.
The Queen's grandson was among those to view the display, saying it was an emotional experience.
STORYLINE
This is one of the gowns worn by Queen Marie Jos - the last Queen of Italy.
She grew up in a world of art and luxury, and with her beauty and excellent taste she became an icon of elegance in the Europe of the 1930's.
An exhibition in Istanbul is featuring a selection of the Queen's mantles and evening dresses, made in silk, satin and velvet and embroidered with gold and silver threads.
The exhibition, called A Timeless Taste: A Royal Wardrobe, bears witness to the power of appearance in this period when Europe experienced political turmoil and royalty lived the last glorious times.
The Queen's grandson, Prince Michael of Yugoslavia, attended the exhibition in Istanbul.
For my family is a way of showing how we were wearing clothes and sharing with people here another life of another time. So I think it is important because cultures are different, but people are all the same at the end, he says.
Queen Marie Jos represented the Royal family in official occasions for sixteen years, and then became Queen just for a month before being exiled at the age of 40.
One of the two long dresses which has an amazing how do you call it, embroideries on the side. Someone told me it was very Ottoman style. And that I thought was incredible, says Prince Michael.
Queen Marie Jos (1906-2001) was the daughter of the King of Belgium, and in 1930 married the Italian Crown Prince Umberto.
Coming from the more liberal atmosphere of the Belgian Court, she had to adapt to a dazzling but strict atmosphere in Italy.
For me (the exhibition) is basically two things. One is to share the event with my family, and to see my grandmother again. Because I remember her, she was a lovely lady, and it was a bit emotional to see all those photos of her and suddenly, for someone who is family, she becomes an exhibition act.
Most of the ceremonial and nightdresses presented to the Queen were manufactured in Italian haute-couture workshops and display the unique mastery from the old days.
Prince Michael says he doesn't recall seeing his grandmother wearing those dresses: Every time I saw her (the Queen) it was like at home or family, it wasn't for official receptions. She wore those (gowns) mostly when she was Queen of before being Queen, and I wasn't existing
For him, this was the first time to see the exhibition, which previously took place in 2012 and 2013 in Muses Royaux d'Art et d'Histoire in Brussels, and La Mona Bismarck Foundation in Paris in 2009.
People are not making dresses like this now, but in the old days people worked a lot, expend a lot of hours doing those, and you can see it, because the quality is still there, forty, fifty, eighty years later, says Prince Michael.
Queen Marie Jos became Queen consort of Italy on 9 May 1946, but the monarchy was abolished by plebiscite only one month later, on 2 June.
Because of this, she is also known as The Queen of May.
Visitors are impressed not only by the quality of the royal wardrobe, but also by the strong personality of the Queen.
In the biographies I have seen, the lady was a very extraordinary personality, says businessman and collector Mithat Cin.
The exhibition is being held at the Istanbul 74 gallery from September 17 to October 15, 2014.

Parc de Bruxelles (French) or About this sound Warandepark (help·info) (Dutch), is the largest urban public park in the centre of Brussels. The area of the rectangular park is 13.1 ha (32 acres). It is surrounded by Place des Palais/Paleizenplein to the south, Rue Royale/Koningsstraat to the west, Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat to the north and Rue Ducale/Hertogstraat to the east. Famous buildings around the park include the Royal Palace of Brussels, the Belgian Parliament building and the United States embassy.
The City of Brussels is the largest municipality and historical centre of the Brussels-Capital Region, and the de jure capital of Belgium. Besides the strict centre, it also covers the immediate northern outskirts where it borders municipalities in Flanders. It is the administrative centre of the European Union, thus often dubbed, along with the region, the EU's capital city.
The City of Brussels is a municipality consisting of the central historic town and certain additional areas within the greater Brussels-Capital Region, namely Haren, Laeken and Neder-Over-Heembeek to the north, and Avenue Louise/Louizalaan and the Bois de la Cambre/Ter Kamerenbos park to the south.
On 1 January 2017, the City of Brussels had a total population of 176,545. The total area is 32.61 km2 (12.59 sq mi) which gives a population density of 5,475 inhabitants per square kilometre (14,180/sq mi). As of 2007, there were approximately 50,000 registered non-Belgians in the City of Brussels. In common with all the Brussels municipalities, it is legally bilingual (French–Dutch).
