Bucerias just walking around and some slow mo April 2019
Some video from my April 2019 trip
Afternoon in Bucerias
We spent about an hour walking from the hotel to the town of Bucerías. It was a Thursday when we went into town and every Thursday night they have an art walk. All the artist of the town show off their work and have drinks and snacks while you walk around. Also on Thursday nights the whole town comes to the plaza where they have music, dancing, and food.
I want to thank my friend Miguel and his family for taking me to Mexico with them.

What to do in Bucerias, Beach & Market, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico
The town of Bucerías is located in the northern part of the Bay of Banderas in Riviera Nayarit a charming beach town, with attractive hotels, good dining options and many things you can do in your visit to Bucerias. Here are some of the best things to enjoy:
Bucerias is an excellent place to stay to enjoy the town and the nearby places in the bay, to the north and south.
Church of Our Lady of Peace of Bucerías
A few steps from the town square, you will find the Church of Our Lady of Peace in Bucerías. It has a wide central access and two lateral ones, a tower with three bodies where the bells mark the passing of time in this town.
People who feel nostalgic for the Puerto Vallarta of the last century are going to walk to Bucerias to remember it. Walk through the cobbled streets, greet local citizens who chat with their neighbors at the doors of the many picturesque houses.
Like Puerto Vallarta, before becoming a tourist attraction, Bucerías subsisted on the abundant fruits of the Pacific Ocean and agricultural crops, including corn, peanuts and fruits. In the market these and other products of the field are obtained, in addition fresh oysters and local crafts and of huicholes.
The gastronomy of Nayarit is very varied and tasty, especially the one that is related to the sea. Pesado zarandeado is a delight where a large fish, such as red snapper or snapper, opens up in a butterfly and is roasted on the coals, an already recognized dish of Mexican gastronomy.
You can also recommend the ceviches that are made with white meats of ocean fish, they are undoubtedly a delight that will be offered in the many restaurants of Bucerias.
In Bucerías you can enjoy walks by the sea, it is a pleasure to walk on the soft sands and especially early in the morning, when the sun rises, the beach is wide, long and offers good space and a spectacular view.
Among the sports that are offered in Bucerías is surfing, wakeboarding, boogieboarding and if you look at the strong and constant wind of the place you will easily realize that it is perfect for windsurfing and the most recent development of sailing sports, kite surfing
On Thursday afternoons in Lázaro Cárdenas street, the traditional Art Walk of the place begins, lasting until late at night. You walk down the street entering the art galleries and craft shops of the place. There are also small commercial hooks that are offered in the place, a little drink, a shot of tequila or mezcal, all to encourage them to enjoy and buy something of what is offered,
There are some important dates in the area and specifically in Bucerias where there are parties or celebrations that show the best and the most animated of the town, on January 24 is celebrated the day of the Virgin of La Paz, date on which is taken to the sea in a procession, there await a multitude of boats decorated beautifully, with music and fireworks to complete the experience. October 14 is the anniversary of the town, where it is celebrated to give everything, as is the custom in Mexico and on November 22, the day of Santa Cecilia, patron saint of the musicians, date in which the town receives musicians and bands from the surrounding area that come to compete with the best music that they offer to their patron protector.

Our trip to Bucerias, Mexico
Puerto Vallarta Art-Walk
Puerto Vallarta posseses a vibrant art scene, perhaps the most lively in all of Mexico, with dozens of galleries small and large featuring local, regional, national, and international artists of all mediums.
Most art galleries in Puerto Vallarta are located in the Downtown and Viejo Vallarta areas, and from November through April each year you can take advantage of the weekly 'Art Walk', a 6pm to 10pm Wednesday evening ritual for many. Join the Puerto Vallarta Art Walk and you'll be able to stroll through over a dozen beautiful galleries all within close proximity to each other while enjoying free cocktails and snacks...meet artists and gallery owners...and maybe pick up a beautiful new piece of original art for your home.
The rich history of art in Mexico extends back several centuries to the well-documented works of the Aztec, Mayan, and Olmec societies. Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo cemented Mexico's place in the art world, and today Mexico is home to an amazing variety of fine artists whose work is displayed the world over.
