BEAUTIFUL Vintage San Jose Elevator Co Hydraulic Elevator - 826 Winchester Blvd, San Jose, CA
This is an absolutely beautiful old elevator! I love that it is still original. It does unfortunately have some vandalism though. It also appeared to suffer a controller glitch in the beginning. I pressed the call station on the lower level, and when the elevator didn't come I went upstairs to find it sitting with the door open. I pressed the first floor button and it still refused to close, but holding it down appeared to get it to move (I say appeared to as it could have just decided to work then regardless of my holding the button down). It never gave me any more trouble after that.
I am not sure what company these fixtures are from. GAL was my first though, but they didn't seem to be using this kind of toggle switch for the light and stop switches. Montgomery was commonly using CJ Anderson at the time, but these fixtures definitely aren't from CJ Anderson.
San Jose Elevator Company was at different points a distributor of Rotary/Dover and Montgomery. This machine does not sound like an Oildraulic, Rotary/Dover used GAL fixtures at the time, and the door track looks like Montgomery, so I'm pretty sure this is from their Montgomery distributing days.

Otis Guestroom Elevators -- Back Building -- Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa -- Monterey, CA
(Recorded August 9th, 2014) I love the Monterey Area because it's so beautiful, but it's also SUPER expensive.
SCORE!!! EPIC Vintage OTIS Black Button Elevators-Undisclosed Location-Sacramento, CA
Let's pause the Macau videos for a sec and focus on these two AMAZING elevators I found the other day! To my surprise, this was smack dab in my city and I'm the first to find them! These are in almost mint condition aside from a few scratches and cracked call buttons. Due to high security and respect for privacy, I will not be giving the location away. We were let in by a lady who works here.

Awesome 1930's Otis Pre-Lexan Traction Elevator at the Union Station
Filmed May 15, 2016: Portland Oregon. It's OTIS TIME!! As to be honest with you, this was not installed in 1950 it was installed in around the 1930's. We all remember this elevator here. I took a silent trip because this is a vintage old Otis elevator and JimLiElevators was just helping me out on his birthday because, I was kinda talking too much while the motor startup. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! :)

Vintage San Jose Elevator Co. Hydraulic Elevator at 2858 Stevens Creek Blvd. in San Jose, CA
GAL larger non-illuminating black button fixtures. The part of the video I edited out was a conversation with someone who thought they recognised me (not for elevator photography, but they thought they had seen me at an event, but they then realised they were probably thinking of someone different because the event was at an event I am 99.99 percent sure I didn't go to). This elevator levels interestingly when going up. It overlevels, then corrects itself. This elevator has very major premature door open, especially when going down!

Montgomery Mod. by ? Traction Elevators at Sutter-Stockton Garage in San Francisco, CA
These elevators all seem to have a strange issue where the buttons flicker when lit up. Oddly one of the elevators seemed to cancel one of my calls for no apperant reason.
Epco SSL fixtures.

Innovated Amtech/US Hydraulic Elevator @ 7555 Eads Avenue Apartments, La Jolla, CA
Basic but nice one. This building is gated and locked but I got in. Installed in 1985. Modernized in 2005-2010.
ThyssenKrupp Oildraulic Service Elevator @ Cuyamaca College Student Union, La Mesa, CA
Basic but nice one. Installed in 2010.
LOVELY Amtech Hydraulic Lobby Elevator (1990) @ Holiday Inn Old Town, San Diego, CA
This thing has the most dang awful door disease and shakes around like a ping pong ball and jolts excessively. Compared to the other one is night and day. Installed also in 1990.
KONE Hydraulic Elevator @ Spindrift Inn Monterey w/ Upanddownadventures
This one is interesting due to the unique variant of Innovation fixtures and indicators. These used to have Adams Designer fixtures and I believe this was a Reliable or a US elevator originally. Installed in 1984/1985. Modernized in 2010-2014.
Old Amtech Hydraulic Elevator @ 2650 Camino Del Rio N, San Diego, CA
Basic but nice one. Has really awesome green LEDs on the fixtures!! Installed in 1982/1983.
(Thyssen )Dover Oildraulic Elevator, Wine Country Trattoria, Disney California Adventure, Anaheim CA
Also filmed by ElevatorNut13, & NationalElevator.
Most of you probably know this, but Oildraulic is a hydraulic elevator model by Dover/ThyssenDover/ThyssenKrupp. The title was too long with the words Oildraulic, and hydraulic both in the title.
I got permission to ride this elevator. I think this used to be Golden Vine Winery. Dover/Thyssen Dover Vandal Resistant fixtures, with California code compliant car station.
Year installed: 1998-2001
Montgomery Hydraulic Elevator - SJSU Dwight Bentel Hall, San Jose CA - W/ upanddownadventures
This elevator has a replaced call station and lantern on 1, with one of the most pathetic sounding chimes I have heard. It is quite hilarious. This elevator was sadly low on oil, and has seen some vandalism to the indicator.
As upanddownadventures and I mentioned near the end of the video, although us enthusiasts often refer to the physical contact safety devices on older elevators as bumpers, it is most likely more industry correct to call them safety edges.
