The Turtles (the temporary 2018 version anyway featuring the voice of the Archies) performing Happy Together at the Happy Together Tour in St. Charles/St. Louis, Missouri at the Family Arena. I record these videos in part to bring attention to my mom who has a stage 4 cancer and needs everyones help. At the time of this recording, she is behind 2 and getting close to 3 house payments because she can't make an income with her health situation. I help out every month but more help is needed or she could lose her house which would be devastating for her. Please see

Riding The Colussus Ferris Wheel at Six Flags St. Louis in the Summer of 2016! Thisfootage was shot with my GoPro, and mostly focusses on my family enjoying the ride.
Colossus is a 180-foot tall (54.9 m) Ferris wheel at the Six Flags St. Louis theme park in Eureka, Missouri, United States. It is 165 feet (50.3 m) in diameter, weighs 180 short tons (160 metric tons), and has a maximum capacity of 320 people.
Colossus was originally debuted at the 1984 New Orleans World's Fair. It was then relocated to Six Flags St. Louis in 1986, where it has operated ever since!

A Tribute to the Florida Street railroad crossing in North St. Louis, MO
I don’t own the music.
This is my favorite crossing in the STL area, because of the gate mechanisms, and the bell. The gate mechanisms are Transport Products, which are rare themselves, but these are the pre 1950s ones. It’s amazing that these are still here, as I don’t know of any other locations of these beauties. (There are rumors there are some of these in Louisville, KY but I can’t find them on GSV) This crossing is probably going to be replaced soon (TRRA!!!!!!!!) and I’m going to try to catch this crossing in action more, as once these gate mechanisms are gone, they could possibly become extinct. The bell is a WRRS bell and it has a great sound.
Tracking Turtles
Featured Speaker: Stephen Blake, Ph.D., Programme Coordinator, Giant Tortoise Project; post-doctoral Researcher, Max Planck Institute of Ornithology; International Volunteer, Charles Darwin Foundation, Galapagos; Adjunct Researcher, Saint Louis Zoo, Adjunct Assistant Professor, University of Missouri - St. Louis and School of Environment and Forestry, State University of New York; visiting scientist, Washington University in St. Louis
Dr. Stephen Blake spent the last 20 years working in the tropics as a conservation ecologist; most of that time in the Congo Basin working for the Wildlife Conservation Society in a variety of roles concerned with forest ecosystem management and species conservation, notably forest elephants. In 2007, Dr. Blake had the opportunity to live and work in the Galapagos Islands, and for the past three years he has worked on the movement ecology and conservation of giant Galapagos tortoises. More recently Stephen and colleagues from the Saint Louis Zoo, Washington University, and Forest Park Forever have initiated a study of box turtles in Forest Park and at Tyson Research Center.
Iconic Galapagos tortoises are the world's largest living terrestrial reptiles and are famous for stimulating Charles Darwin's early ideas on evolution by natural selection. Despite their fame, the ecology and conservation status of Galapagos tortoises remains remarkably poorly understood.
In this fascinating look at turtles and tortoises, Stephen Blake introduces an applied research programme that seeks to understand the movement ecology of Galapagos tortoises, during which long distance stereotypic seasonal migrations have been documented for the first time. He illustrates efforts to translate applied science into exciting conservation outreach and education for the children of Galapagos -- the future stewards of the Islands. And he discusses the parallels between the Galapagos tortoises and box turtles right here in St. Louis, and describes a sister programme to the Galapagos work for conservation, research, and education of turtles that has been piloted in Forest Park and Washington University's Tyson Research Center.
Originally filmed at the Saint Louis Zoo on October 23, 2012.

St. Louis, Missouri to Gulf of Mexico by boat (THE LOOP LEG 1 ~950 miles)
95 Carver 280 express
Put in at George Winter Park had a truck pick us up on Dauphin Island Alabama 5 Days Later.
One of the greatest experiences one can endure. If you enjoy water or boating in any way this is a trip of a lifetime. We tried to average 25 to 30 mph along the way. The longest stretch we had to bring fuel along for is from hoppies to Paducah Kentucky 205 miles. A ton of cool places along the way that would be great places to stay longer. Everything we read before going said to try to plan for this leg of the loop taking 2 to 3 weeks. Well we all work and we cant be gone that long so we planned for 5 days. Many people said we were idiots and it would be impossible to accomplish in that amount of time but we made it happen. Some days we didn't get an early start because we were up late, some days we quit early because we didn't want to sleep in the boat other days we pushed into dark and got up early to push a few extra miles. We saw and met a ton of great people along the way even though we were a little early in the season.
Thanks Greg for helping make my dreams come true
Holocaust Museum and Learning Center
The Holocaust Museum and Learning Center houses a 5,000 square foot core exhibition that provides a chronological history of the Holocaust with personal accounts of Holocaust survivors who immigrated to St. Louis. Photographs, artifacts, text panels, and audio-visual displays guide visitors through pre-war Jewish life in Europe, the rise of Nazism and events during the Holocaust between 1933-1945, post-war events including the Nuremberg Trials, and Jewish life after the Holocaust.
In 2012, HMLC installed its newest interactive exhibition entitled Change Begins with Me: Confronting Hate, Discrimination and Ethnic Conflict in our post-Holocaust world today. By August of 2015, HMLC will have toured approximately one half million visitors during its twenty year existence.
In addition, the HMLC sponsors temporary exhibits, public lectures, a monthly-film series, teacher-training workshops, and an annual Yom HaShoah community commemoration. The HMLC also houses a comprehensive video library with more than 500 titles and an oral history project with approximately 150 testimonies that are available to educators and the public. For further study of the Holocaust, the HMLC offers a range of books for sale at the Museum bookstore. A Garden of Remembrance is available outside the Museum for contemplation and reflection.
The Holocaust Museum and Learning Center (HMLC), a department of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, opened in May 1995 and was realized through the vision and generosity of many community leaders and Holocaust survivors.
