Quechee is a census-designated place and one of five unincorporated villages in the town of Hartford, Windsor County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of the CDP was 656. It is the site of Quechee Gorge on the Ottauquechee River and is also the home to the Quechee Lakes planned community initiated in the late 1960s, which also brought to the community the small Quechee Lakes Ski Area in the 1970s. Quechee was known for a picturesque covered bridge at the site of the old Quechee mill, which now houses the Simon Pearce glass-blowing facility and restaurant. Bear Brook State Park is a 10,000-acre (40 km2) preserve located in Allenstown, New Hampshire, and surrounding towns. It is one of New Hampshire's largest state parks. Amenities at Bear Brook include camp sites, a picnic area, over 40 miles (64 km) of hiking trails, swimming and fishing ponds, archery range, camp store, a ball field, playground, bathhouse, shelters, picnic tables, canoe and rowboat rentals, and a physical fitness course. Timber Harvest at Bear Brook State Park

A sanitation timber harvest is taking place in Bear Brook State Park to minimize the spread of red pine scale. The project began on February 20, 2013 and will continue into early summer. The harvest will affect 118 acres, concentrating on pine stands along Deerfield Road, New Rye Road and One Mile Trail. More info:

Massabesic Lake Loop Ride, Manchester New Hampshire - Part 1

This video is the first clip of a two part video that was shot October 14th 2013 with a GoPro Hero 3 Camera attached to a harness set up in front of me while I rode my motorcycle around Massabesic Lake. This is a ride I often take which is not very far from where I live. I start at the intersection of Ciley Road and Mammoth Road, back around a back road, then through the Massabesic traffic circle, then we drive around the lake and end up back at the Massabesic traffic circle in Manchester New Hampshire. Watch the Fall foliage colors in the trees as we take the ride. New Hampshire is one of the New England states that is famous for its Fall season colors. The ride around Massabesic Lake takes about 40 to 45 minutes. Due to the size of the video file I decided to split the video into two videos. This first clip is around 21 minutes long.
