Best Places to Visit in New Hampshire
Welcome to New Hampshire! New Hampshire ,which shares a border with Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts as well as a small Atlantic Ocean coastline and Canada to the north, offers visitors a chance to experience the very best that Mother Nature has to offer. The vast White Mountain National forest is home to the regions tallest peak, Mount Washington along with many other features sculpted by nature of many thousands of years.
It all begs you to embrace the outdoors, from kayaking the hidden coves of the Lakes Region to trekking the upper peaks surrounding Mt Washington. Each season yields a bounty of adrenaline and activity: skiing and snowshoeing in winter; magnificent walks and drives through fall's fiery colors; and swimming in crisp mountain streams and berry-picking in summer. It was challenging to select only 10 must-see attractions and must-do experiences, but this is a great place to begin.

5 Top-Rated Hiking Trails in New Hampshire | US Hike Guide
5 Top-Rated Hiking Trails in New Hampshire, United States.
New Hampshire's White Mountains offer more than magnificent scenery and popular tourist attractions. They are among the nation's most loved places to hike and climb. On its way from Maine to Georgia, the Appalachian Trail crosses the state along the ridgelines of the Presidential and Franconia ranges, over the summit of Mt. Washington (the highest peak in the Northeast), and through a vast wilderness area. Spaced a day's hike apart along the trail are huts operated by the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC), where hikers can sleep and eat with fellow mountain enthusiasts. Before starting any of these trails in the mountains, get a copy of the latest AMC White Mountains Guide, be sure you have plenty of water and warm clothing in your pack, and check a weather report. Abrupt and violent weather changes are common above tree line, and snow has fallen here in all months of the year. Here five top hiking trails in New Hampshire, USA
1. Mt. Monadnock
2. Mt. Washington: Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail
3. Mt. Chocorua: Champney Falls Trail
4. Appalachian Trail across the Presidential Range
5. Franconia Notch Ridge Trail

Hiking New Hampshire | Mt Monadnock | Mount Monadnock
Took a hike up Mt Monadnock in New Hampshire this weekend. Our original plans for Tom/Field/Willey were postponed by the weather in the White Mountains. This was the only hike I could think to do that wouldn't be stuck in that same weather.
About a 1:40 minute ride from the Boston area. A fairly short hike too We were done in less than 4 hours. That includes A LOT of time messing around up on the summit and checking things out in the park after coming down.
Fun hike. Very nice views but I believe it is one of the most popular mountain destinations in NH. I would believe that. We passed probably 100+ people easily. So if you dont particularly want it that crowded maybe try to swing by on a weekday!
The staff and trail crews I met were very friendly. The White Dot/Cross trails are both very well kept. The other trails are also clearly marked at the summit too.

Hidden Gems of New Hampshire: Wentworth State Park
Lake Wentworth is a smaller, quieter sister to Lake Winnipesaukee and the beach at Wentworth State Park is a great way to access it.
The park has a nice sandy beach with a gradual slope and there are both shady & sunny areas on the beach making it a great location for a family day by the lake. The water remains pretty calm here and is a good temperature for swimming. It’s also shallow throughout much of the swimming area so kids can splash around quite easily.

Hiking New Hampshire / Mass | The Wapack Trail | 21+ Miles of F.U.N.
I took a break from my regularly scheduled adventures in the White Mountains so that we could take on the entirety of the Wapack Trail this past weekend.
It is a 21ish mile trail that runs from Southern New Hampshire into Northern Massachusetts.
I was fairly unfamiliar (and to be honest still kind of am) with the trail but it goes over about 6 or so mountains along the way and has some really nice viewing spots.
We started Saturday at the Northern Terminus and proceeded through the trail (making one detour down the Cliff Trail which held excellent views) a total of 16.38 miles (according to my tracker)
We stayed the night at the Windblown Cross Country Ski Resort at the Mountain Top Shelter on top of Mt Barrett. A very nice shelter that you must reserve ahead of time. They even supplied us with firewood!
We came down about 6.5 miles (according to tracker) the next day to a car we had at the Southern Terminus. We skipped the last mountain at the end (Mt Watatic) due to the rain. I enjoy the views and didn't want limited to no view up there. I will probably go back up at another point and check it out.
