My First Trip to Zhangjiajie 张家界
Welcome to Hanif's Video. Hope You really enjoy it...
================
Zhangjiajie (simplified Chinese: 张家界; traditional Chinese: 張家界; pinyin: Zhāngjiājiè) is a prefecture-level city in the northwestern part of Hunan province, People's Republic of China. It comprises the district of Yongding and counties of Cili and Sangzhi. Within it is located Wulingyuan Scenic Area which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992 as well as an AAAAA scenic area by the China National Tourism Administration.
The new name of Zhangjiajie City was adopted in 1994, after the National Forest Park in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area (武陵源) in order to give it more prominence and after this site had been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. The National Forest Park had been given the name of Zhangjiajie after the name of a small village located within its bounds, and now a popular tourist attraction within the park. The three-character name (张家界) can be interpreted as follows: Zhang (张) is a common surname in China; jia (家) can be translated as family; and jie (界) can be translated as homeland, giving the completed translation of Zhang family homeland. It has been reported that at least one tourist guide has said that the name may have been chosen to convey the idea or impression of Open the family door to welcome the world (张开家门引进世界), but this is not the locally accepted and directly-translated meaning of the name. The official version of its name is linked to a Han general, Zhang Liang, who resettled in the area after a suspicious Liu Bang, the Han emperor, started to persecute his staffs and generals who had contributed to his becoming emperor. It was so named to signify that the Zhang family had set up home there.
The Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area comprises the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the Tianzishan (天子山) mountain ranges, Baofenghu (宝峰湖) and the Suoxi Valley (索溪峪), and is a very popular filming and tourist destination.
Also in the Zhangjiajie area, Huanglongdong (黄龙洞) and Longwangdong (龙王洞) are caves known for many natural rock formations (much like Wulingyuan) and its underground cataract.
The Bailong Elevator is also located in the area.
Each year, Zhangjiajie hosts the International Country Music Week Festival,[4] which has featured international acts such as American Country Music group Lucy Angel.
The Zhangjiajie Airport services scheduled service to major airports in China. It is about 5 km away from the downtown and 30 km away from Wulingyuan Scenic Area. There are domestic flights available between Zhangjiajie and other cities, such as Changsha, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou etc. Flights between Zhangjiajie and Seoul, Busan are also available.

Hallelujah Mountains - The Beautiful Zhangjiajie Mountains in China that Inspired Avatar
Welcome to this video about the Hallelujah Mountains the beautiful mountains in China that inspired Avatar. Known locally as Zhangjiajie Park (张家界), Hellelujah left very impressed with the amazing heavenly scenery. The beauty of Zhangjiajie Park is a feast to my eyes and I wish to share with you of what I have seen in this chinese scenery nature video.
(张家界) Zhangjiaiie is a prefecture-level city in north west of Hunan province China. The Wulingyuan Scenic Area in (张家界) Zhangjiaiie National Forest Park is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. (张家界) Zhangjiaiie Park may seems unknown to most as this natural landscapes has yet reach to the level of international destination popularity. However, most westerner may know about the Avatar Mountains as this was the backdrop of the world of Mystical Pandora in James Cameron's Avatar.
In this video, these wonderful shot are taken from China's Zhangjiajie National Park of (天门山) TianMen Mountain, (十里画廊) Ten-Mile Natural Gallery, (张家界大峡谷) Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, and Golden Whip Stream.
(张家界天门山) Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain
Tianmen (Heavenly Gate) Mountain National Forest Park lies only 8 kilometers south of the city of Zhangjiajie Hunan China, but does not belong to the unique, UNESCO-recognized block-and-obelisk, eroded-mountain of chinese landscape in the area north of the city of Zhangjiajie known as Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Although the topography of Tianmen Mountain is distinctly different from that of Wulingyuan, it nevertheless belongs, like the entire eroded-mountain landscape of Wulingyuan Scenic Area, to the Wuling Mountain Range – indeed, Tianmen Mountain enjoys the distinction of being Wuling Mountain Range's highest peak. This also known as Avatar Park China as this place are main back drop of James Cameron's Avatar. It has been officialy known as Hallelujah Mountains after the movie.
(张家界大峡谷) Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon
Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon is located in Cili County, Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China. It is quite closed to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area is a recently-developed natural wonderland that is famous for beautiful natural landscape and cultural sites. It incorporates green mountains, mild streams, intrigued caves, steep cliffs, and thick forest. Here is the museum of landform of Zhangjiajie China. You can see the unique Karst topography landscape scenery of the North Temperate Zone.
(张家界十里画廊) Zhangjiajie Ten-Mile Natural Gallery
Zhangjiajie China Ten-mile Natural Gallery is located in the northwestern part of Suoxigu Natural Reserve, at the foot of Tianzi Mountain. It is about 5.8 kilometers in length. With a stream flowing through, and the peaks on both sides of the valley shape, it forms natural sculptures. Ten-mile Natural Gallery has picturesque scenery, beautiful flowers and a hundred birds contend in singing. The sceneries in this scenic area have strange shapes of China landscapes.
Zhangjiajie Golden Whip Stream
Located in the east of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, named after the 380-meter high Golden Whip Rock, Golden Whip Stream meanders 15 Li. Flowing from Laomo Gully first to Confluence of Four Rivers then to Suoxi Stream, it finally joins Li river, one of the four rivers in Hunan Province. It flows between steep grotesque peaks and luxuriant trees.

Chinese Food Sichuan - Chinese Street Food - Street Food China
Chinese food gets more interesting the deeper you go. I set off for Chinese street food and cuisine in deep southern Sichuan province by bicycle. I rode my bike down deep into Southern China's lush and mountainous liangshan region, in search of delicious Chinese street food and Chinese food. The Chinese food really was different in this region. The liangshan region is home to Chinese Yi ethnic minority, who have their own cuisine. It was very rural and in some areas also very poor, so I had difficulty finding the yi cuisine at first. Later in the second half of the video, I found a Yi restaurant and had a Chinese food feast! The little village I visited was called Butuo, about 120 km from Xichang.
