When I was in Porto, I went the Dom Luis Bridge every day. Finally, I found out the best place to take a rest with the bridge. You can grab a bite to eat and drinking a cold drink here as well. Stone House aerial - Casa do Penedo - Flinstones house - Fafe - 4K Ultra HD
This Rock House is located in Fafe Mountain, 10 km northeast of the center of the county, in the direction of Cabeceiras de Basto.
Its construction began in 1974 and lasted about two years, being a rural residence, used by its owners as a holiday house.
This Rock House integrates completely into its surrounding countryside. Its construction is entirely made of rock, with the exception of doors, windows and roof.
The interior also has a rustic style, where the furniture, stairs and handrails are made of logs.
It has aroused the curiosity of many tourists throughout the world, given its originality and beauty.
It does not have any electrical installation.
A Casa do Penedo localiza-se na Serra de Fafe, a 10 km a nordeste do centro da sede de concelho, em direcção a Cabeceiras de Basto.
A sua construção foi iniciada em 1974 e durou cerca de dois anos, tratando-se de uma residência rural, utilizada pelos seus proprietários como destino de férias.
A Casa do Penedo integra-se completamente na sua paisagem rural envolvente. A sua construção é inteiramente feita em rocha, à excepção das portas, janelas e telhado.
O interior apresenta também um estilo rústico, onde a mobília, as escadas e os corrimãos são feitos de troncos.
Tem despertado a curiosidade de muitos turistas ao longo do mundo, face a sua originalidade e beleza.
Não possui qualquer instalação eléctrica.

Guimarães (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɡimɐˈɾɐ̃jʃ]) is a northern Portuguese city located in the district of Braga, in the Ave Subregion (one of the more industrialized subregions of the country), with a population of 52 181 inhabitants, distributed throughout 20 parishes (freguesias in Portuguese), in an urban area of 23,5 km² with a population density of 2 223,9/km².
It is the seat of a municipality with an area of 241,05 km² and 162 636 inhabitants (2008), divided in 69 parishes. The municipality is bordered to the north by the municipality of Póvoa de Lanhoso, to the east by Fafe, to the south by Felgueiras, Vizela and Santo Tirso, to the west by Vila Nova de Famalicão and the northwest by Braga.
It is an historical city that had an important role in the formation of Portugal and it was settled in the 9th century, at which time it was called Vimaranes. This denomination might have had its origin in the warrior Vímara Peres, when he chose this area as the main government seat for the County of Portugal which he conquered for the Kingdom of Galicia.
Guimarães is one of the country's most important historical cities. Its historical center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making it one of the largest tourist centers in the region. (Wiki)
Reisebericht Porto Stadt – eine Perle für Genussmenschen
Porto Stadt - das blau der Douro und die eindrückliche Brück Ponte Dom Lius begeistern. Wir besuchen den Bahnhof São Bento, das Café Majestic, die Buchhandlung Lello, die Kirche Torre dos Clerigos und flanieren in der Altstadt von Porto entlang der Rua Flores. Im pulisierenden Hafenviertel Ribeira geniessen wir Küche und Wein. Wir spazieren entlang dem Strand von Porto und geniessen Sushi in Molhe. Logieren tun wir im luxuriösen Pestana Palacio do Freixo, eine interessante Umgestaltung eines stattlichen Herrenhauses im Barockstil des 18. Jahrhunderts.

Desde muy antiguo hay una rivalidad entre Lisboa y Oporto. Dicen que esta ciudad tiene un cierto aire británico, desde que se asentaron aquí los comerciantes de vino ingleses. Dice el refrán popular que «Lisboa se divierte, Coimbra canta, Braga reza y Oporto trabaja»
Braga también conocida como la ciudad de los arzobispos es una ciudad histórica e inmemorial portuguesa situada al norte del país, capital del Distrito de Braga. Se sítua en la región estadística del Norte y en la subregión del Cávado.
Es la tercera ciudad más poblada de Portugal, tras Lisboa y Oporto. En 2012 Braga fue la Capital Europea de la Juventud, el mayor evento de Europa dedicado a los jóvenes.1 Los ríos Este y Cávado atraviesan la ciudad. El municipio de Braga limita al norte con el de Amares, al este con Póvoa de Lanhoso, al sur con Guimarães y Vila Nova de Famalicão, y al oeste con Barcelos y Vila Verde.

Es sede de un municipio con 242,85 km² de extensión y 161 876 habitantes (2004), subdividido en 69 freguesías. La mayor parte de la población vive en la ciudad y en la zona periférica. El municipio limita al norte con el municipio de Póvoa de Lanhoso, al este con Fafe, al sur con Felgueiras, Vizela y Santo Tirso, al oeste con Vila Nova de Famalicão y al noroeste con Braga. Guimarães, junto con Maribor, fue Capital Europea de la Cultura en 2012.
El centro histórico de Guimarães fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en 2001.
