Guadamur is a municipality located in the province of Toledo, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. According to the 2008 census , the municipality has a population of 1819 inhabitants. On June 4, 2007 signed a twinning agreement with the towns of Vouillé and Tournai , to promote cultural exchanges and develop a cultural tour of Europe, on the occasion of the fifteenth centenary of the Battle of Vouillé. In that town near Poitiers, Clovis I, king of the Franks, defeated the Visigoths of Alaric II in 507. Tournai was the first capital of the Franks under kings Clovis and Childericus.

The Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo is a Roman Catholic church in Toledo, Spain. It is the seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Toledo. The cathedral of Toledo is one of the three 13th-century High Gothic cathedrals in Spain and is considered, in the opinion of some authorities, to be the magnum opus of the Gothic style in Spain. It was begun in 1226 under the rule of Ferdinand III and the last Gothic contributions were made in the 15th century when, in 1493, the vaults of the central nave were finished during the time of the Catholic Monarchs. The El Greco Museum is located in Toledo, Spain. It celebrates the mannerist painter El Greco , who spent much of his life in Toledo, having been born in Fodele, Crete. The museum opened in 1911 and is located in the Jewish Quarter of Toledo. It consists of two buildings, a 16th-century house with a courtyard and an early 20th century building forming the museum, together with a garden. The house recreates the home of El Greco, which no longer exists. The museum houses many artworks by El Greco, especially from his late period. There are also paintings by other 17th-century Spanish artists, as well as furniture from the period and pottery from Talavera de la Reina in the Province of Toledo.

The Alcázar of Toledo is a stone fortification located in the highest part of Toledo, Spain. Once used as a Roman palace in the 3rd century, it was restored under Charles I and his son Philip II of Spain in the 1540s. In 1521, Hernán Cortés was received by Charles I at the Alcázar, following Cortes' conquest of the Aztecs. Most of the alcázar was rebuilt, or restored, between 1939 and 1957 after the Siege of the Alcázar of the Spanish Civil War.

Zamek Colomares - Benalmadena (Hiszpania)

Benalmadena to znany kurort morski na wybrzeżu Costa del Sol. Rocznie przybywją tu tysięczne rzesze turystów spragnionych kąpieli morskich i słonecznych. Zaledwie kilka kilometrów od wybrzeża znajduje się unikalny Zamek Colomares, ale odwiedzających go jest naprawdę niewielu. Budowla oficialnie nosi nazę Castillo de Colomares, ale tak naprawdę jest niezwykłym monumentem upamiętniającym odkrycie Ameryki przez Krzysztofa Columba. Zamek został zbudowany w latach 1987 - 1994 przez dr Esteban Martína, lekarza ze Stanów Zjednoczonych. Dr Esteban uznał, że Krzysztof Kolumb nie ma wystarczająco okazałego monumentu upamiętniającego jego zasługi dla Ameryki. Przyjechał więc do Hiszpanii i przez wiele lat wraz z dwoma lokalnymi budowniczymi postawił ten zamek. Konstrukcja łączy różne style tj. bizantyjski, romański, gotycki i mudejar, które miały znaczący wpływ na kulturę hiszpańską. Jest to największy na świecie monument dedykowany wielkiemu odkrywcy Ameryki. Można tu zoboczyć wiele detali architektonicznych, które nawiązują do odkrywczej podróży Kolumba (są min. rzeźby trzech statków, herby manarchów katolickich, i różne rzeźbione odniesienia do trzech głównych kultur okresu - judaizmu, chrześcijaństwa i islamu). Ciekawostką jest miniaturowy kościółek wewnątrz zamku, który znajduje się na liście w The Guinness Book of Records, jako najmniejszy kościół na świecie. Obok kościółka jest nawet maleńkie mauzoleum, w którym, pewnego dnia zgodnie z intencją Dr Estebana powinny spocząć szczątki wielkiego marynarza.

Castillo del siglo IX en ruinas a vista drone: castillo de Almonacid

El castillo de Almonacid se encuentra en el municipio de Almonacid de Toledo, provincia de Toledo, a 20 km de la capital, Toledo. Se eleva sobre un monte que puede verse desde decenas de kilómetros.

La primera referencia documental sobre este castillo data del año 848 y es de origen musulmán, cuando servía como punto estratégico de vigilancia de un antiguo camino a La Mancha.

Los muros del castillo de Almonacid son elevados y almenados, protegidos por una barrera exterior y un camino de ronda. En el interior sólo queda la torre del homenaje, situada en el centro del amplio recinto. La torre tiene tres plantas con bóvedas de ladrillo. Existen restos de dos aljibes, un silo y algunas habitaciones. También son destacables sus triples troneras.
