Some interesting places in Munich II
We went for a walk in Munich. We started at the Viktualienmarkt in the center of Munich where there is the maypole and statues of famous people. Then passing the Isartor we reached the Isar river where there is the Deutsches Museum, an historic public bath, a church, a chapel and the Gasteig cultural center. Proceeding along the Isar river we reached the Bavarian parliament and further on the church St. Georg where there are the graves of many famous persons (e.g. Liesl Karlstadt, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Erich Kästner, Erich Kiesl, Oskar Maria Graf, Walter Sedlmayer, Bernd Eichinger). Then we crossed the Isar river into the English Garden with the Chinese tower. From the Monopterus we admired the evening skyline of Munich.
Munich is beautiful and we want to show more places.

A team of german students is on a three week visit to India to know about the cultural heritage and to study the duties of the administration. The 10 member group also visited Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation and hailed the rich heritage of Indian culture.

The City Park Hannover (city hall garden) in Hannover is just south of Hanover Congress Center in the district Zoo . It is bounded by Clausewitzstraße in the east and Kleefelder Straße in the south. Long before the construction of the Stadthalle, the Kleine Bult area was used by the Hannoversche Rennverein as a racetrack for public horse races in front of the railway line to Braunschweig starting in 1868 .
Only shortly before the First World War, the area in the years 1913 and 1914 under the name City Hall garden like a health establishment after plans of the garden director Hermann Kube designed and with the town hall architect Paul Bonatz and Friedrich Eugen Scholer tuned. In June 1914, the town hall and the newly created garden with a long water basin and a light fountain were inaugurated with a music festival.
In 1933, the site was used for the Annual Show of German Gardening Culture. During the Second World War , the city hall burned after the air raids on Hanover , the park was destroyed and used after the war first as a garden land. From April 21 to October 31, 1951, the first Federal Garden Show took place on the city hall grounds. The entire exhibition area was about 21 hectares in size and thus much smaller than that of Bundesgartenschauen later years. In 1951, around 1.6 million visitors were counted in Hanover.
The present complex largely corresponds to the former appearance and is a listed building . Staudenbeete and rhododendrons and the rose garden with about 140 varieties have been preserved. In 1963/64, according to plans by Erwin Laage, the large water basin was renovated, the fountain garden created and the terraces redesigned. In 1974, a hotel tower was built in the entrance area of the city park, which in 1980 was combined with a town hall and exhibition buildings to form the Hannover Congress Centrum .
A special attraction is the 400 square meter Japanese garden with tea house , a present from the Japanese metropolis , which was created in 1996 as part of the city partnership between Hannover and Hiroshima . The city park was until 2014 the venue of the annual summer bivouac , a garden festival of the 1st Panzer Division .
