Germany: Kitzingen
Kitzingen is a town in the German state of Bavaria. Surrounded by vineyards, Kitzingen County is the largest wine producer in Bavaria. It is said to be Franconia's wine trade center.
Historical center of the still well-preserved medieval old town with its unmistakable, many-towered silhouette forms despite many destructions and changes in the market square, a closed monumental ensemble of business and town houses.
The market square represents a spatial extension of the medieval Main thoroughfare of Kitzingen aimed at the Alte Mainbrücke. The so-called Poganietzhaus, a richly decorated 16th-century Renaissance half-timbered house, has survived from the original gable house development (Marktstraße 26) Today the Conditorei Museum is located.
The marketplace is dominated by the Renaissance town hall of the master craftsman Eckhart von Schaffhausen, which was completed in 1563, and by the 39 meter high market tower, a former defense tower of the inner city fortifications from the 13th and 14th centuries with a first floor from 1546, later called Urban Watchtower served today and houses the Central Archive of the German carnival. At the market tower above the surrounding business buildings from the early 19th century even the former pillory can be seen. The Kitzinger Elle in the form of a metal measure, which is attached to the square facing the square of the town hall, reminiscent of the former function of the square as the main market of the city.

Germany: The City of Schweinfurt
Schweinfurt is a city in the Lower Franconia region of Bavaria in Germany on the right bank of the navigable Main River, 27 km northeast of Würzburg.
Schweinfurt's main landmarks include: the Renaissance Town Hall (1570-1572), the church of St. Johannes (1554-1562) and the Old Grammar School, seat of the local museum
The Museum Georg Schäfer specializes in 19th-century paintings by artists from German-speaking countries.
The Schweinfurter Rathaus (town hall) square has a large Friedrich Rückert monument in the centre, around which weekly markets and many city festivals are held.
The Motherwell Park connects the surrounding medieval buildings to the inner-city market square. To avoid car-filled streets, walking through the park with part of the original city walls offers paths and shortcuts, bringing one on foot from one end of town to another, reminiscent of medieval town life.

Nuremberg Germany - A Bavarian Treasure Chest Full of Surprises | 90+ Countries With 3 Kids
The ancient city of Nuremberg has survived many momentous world events, from the time of the Roman Empire until the 21th century. Although it was almost entirely demolished during WWII, the capital of Franconia was carefully rebuilt since then. The Old Town of Altstadt is surrounded by walls, that stand tall to witness for that time while the castle peaks from a promontory on the north side.
Nuremberg was and still is an important center for arts and culture, as evidenced by the popular National Germanic Museum with its impressive collections of coins, paintings, archives, and decorative arts.
