Czech Republic #10 of 11 - Spilberk Castle was founded in the 13th Century. The castle hosted generations of political prisoners from the Habsburg Empire through the Nazis and Communists. Hotel Zamek Stirin, Kamenice, Czech Republic #HotelReviews
Spent two days in Stirin Castle due to corporate event. It is really nice place outside Prague surrounded by beautiful gardens. Hotel itself looks really nice with all the ornamentations and old & stylish furnitures. I stayed there with pleasure. Every single part of the hotel was very clean and tidy. A room and a bathroom in the same standard as whole building - cozy, old fashion, clean and tidy. Equipped with all the essentials including fridge (with good selection of drinks), TV, safe, hairdryer, free internet etc. Outside the hotel you have many possibilities to spend your free time - beautiful gardens, golf course, sauna, fitness centre, bikes etc. Definitely you will not get bored over there.
What I liked especially: the old style of the hotel, large bathtub in my bathroom, gardens and SPA.
If you add a really tasty food in their restaurant, friendly staff and perfect service it will sum up to an amazing place to stay... especially if you are looking for some quiet place just outside Prague where you can relax and chill out as well as spend your time more active!
If I would have to complain on anything I would point out: - really old TV in my room - neither fits these days or the hotel old style ;) - size of the room - personally, for me it was enough but I can imagine that it could be too small for some people - Restaurant and SPA are located in separated building - it means that in autumn or winter if you want to eat, have a drink or a SPA treatment you have to put your warm clothes on and have a short walk to the other building... However again - this is not a big issue ;) (PS. please note that breakfast is being served in the same building where rooms are located - and that's more convenient)
All in all - love this place and highly recommend it to anyone!
