The Original Taco Bell Tacos - MEXICAN STREET FOOD Tour in Los Angeles, California!

Thanks to Jeffrey Merrihue ( and Austin Burgess (
Along with Jeffrey and Austin - two food extreme friends, we set off on a day of Mexican food and fun feasting in greater LA.
Gilberto’s Taquiza - For the first stop on this Mexican street food tour, we drove all the way to West Covina, California, about 45 minutes from Central Los Angeles, to a little spot known as Gilberto’s Taquiza. Jeffrey made sure to call Gilberto himself to reserve some of the meat dripping dynamite sticks to make sure we had some. The dynamite sticks are essentially stewed lamb, cooked until fall apart tender and dripping with oil. In order to make them he dunked a tortilla into the hot oil, sizzled it on the hot plate, filled it with the fall apart tender meat, and rolled it up into a taquito. The result was spectacular. Everything else was delicious too, but the dynamite sticks were crazily good.
Total price - $35 for everything
Birrieria Guadalajara - Next we drove a little further towards Riverside, California, to eat birria, a special Mexican goat stew. Again, this is another Mexican food that just melts in your mouth, meat cooked until fall apart tender. It was spectacular and all the staff were very friendly as well.
Total price - $32 for everything
Mitla Cafe - Right across the street from Birrieria Guadalajara you will find Mitla Cafe, home to the original crunchy American taco. An American taco is a crunchy shell, ground beef, iceberg lettuce, yellow cheese, and tame salsa. As the true story goes, Glen Bell was selling food across the street and used to come to Mitla Cafe to eat their amazing crunchy tacos. Eventually he got the owner to show him how to make the crunchy tacos, and he later started the entire taco bell empire. The downside is that he never admitted that he got the idea and recipe from Mitla Cafe. It’s nice to see Mitla Cafe is still doing very well, and their crunchy American tacos are fantastic.
Price - $13.95
Taco Bell - Yes, just for comparison purposes, we had to go to the nearly Taco Bell. It had been years since I had last eaten taco bell. I have to admit the crunchy tacos were decent, but the crunchwrap supreme doritos locos thing we order, nope. That just didn’t do it for me.
Mariscos Jalisco - Finally to end this Mexican street food tour of LA, we headed to Mariscos Jalisco, a legendary seafood truck serving their famous shrimp tostadas and the Poseidon. They were delicious in every dimension, and it was the perfect ending to this full day of amazing Mexican food in LA.
Total price - $13 for everything

LA Historic Food Tour - BEST PASTRAMI and PRIME RIB | Top Restaurants in Los Angeles, USA!
►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week:
►T-shirts and caps available now:
Los Angeles has some incredible historical restaurants, and on this tour I’m taking you on a classic food tour of Los Angeles!
Here are the restaurants I tried during this food tour:
1. Langer's Delicatessen - Open since 1947 Langer’s Deli is an icon of Los Angeles, and after eating there for the first time, I know for sure it’s a must eat destination in LA. They have an entire menu of different sandwiches and dishes, but I knew exactly I wanted to eat the #19 Pastrami Sandwich. The sandwich came with hand-cut pastrami on rye, and an almost equal ratio of coleslaw, which is one of the parts that makes it unique. Along with the warm melt in your mouth pastrami, the coleslaw was cool and crisp, making the perfect contrast. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life at Langer's Delicatessen.
Price - $18.95
Philippe The Original - Next stop, and not too far away in downtown Los Angeles, another timeless classic, Philippe The Original open since 1908. I ordered the beef dip (double dip), one of their signature dishes. The beef was pretty good, and they dipped their bread into the beef juices before serving it. For me it wasn’t nearly as good as the pastrami sandwich, but it was pretty good.
Price - $8.50
Cielito Lindo - Open since 1934 Cielito Lindo is known for their rolled taquitos. I ordered #3 - 2 Taquitos, 1 Chile Relleno, plate combo. The location is pretty cool, in downtown Los Angeles, and it’s another classic legendary restaurant. Overall, the taquitos were ok, but the tortilla wrapper was a little on the thick side for me. The avocado salsa though was pretty good.
Price - $7.50
Lawry's the Prime Rib - Finally for dinner, and it was a dinner I was hugely looking forward to we went to Lawry's the Prime Rib, open since 1938. There are few restaurants in Los Angeles as classic and as much of a location in LA as Lawry’s (actually in Beverly Hills). As soon as you step into the door, you know you’re somewhere special, it really is a throwback in time. I knew for sure I wanted the prime rib and after having a tossed salad a bread, they wheeled out the space shuttle looking carts full of juicy prime rib and sliced us off a chunk. The prime rib was incredibly juicy, tender, and full of extra meat juices. Not only was the food delicious, but it was a really special atmosphere.
Total price (for 2) - $110.60
What an incredible day of food in Los Angeles! I still can’t decide what was my favorite - the pastrami or the prime rib.

San Diego Food Tour - MASSIVE BURGERS and CRAZY TOSTADAS in California, USA!
►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week:
►T-shirts and caps available now:
Thank you to my sister Pam and brother in law Derek for joining me on this food tour of San Diego, California! And during the video I said Oceanside once, but I meant *Ocean Beach. We were on a family vacation in California, but on one day, we decided to go on an ultimate San Diego California food tour. It was a lot of fun, and you’ll find all the information of all the places we ate below:
Breakfast at Northside Shack - We started off in the morning, and first headed to Northside Shack to try their highly rated açaí bowl. It’s a laid back kind of spot, and I ordered the $11 bowl which was the large size. The acai is frozen into a sorget, and then they layered it with granola, about 12 different kinds of fruits, and nuts and seeds. It was delicious and refreshing, great way to begin this food tour.
Hodad's - Probably one of the most legendary of all restaurants in San Diego, California is Hodad’s serving massive double bacon cheeseburgers, and classic American food. The original location is located in Ocean Beach, and it has so much character, plastered with graffiti and stickers. Derek and I each ordered the double bacon cheeseburger, which is a monster burger. It takes some strategy to eat, but it was well worth it. It’s a delicious burger, and I also really enjoyed the onion rings. Price - $14.25
Blue Water Seafood Market & Grill - Pam and Derek had been here before and they knew it was good, so it was a restaurant in San Diego that I was looking forward to trying. You stand in line, order at the counter, and then find a seat. They offer fresh fish of the day, everything very fresh. We started with some oysters and the main dish, which was the best dish of the meal for me was the blackened black seabass. Delicious food, one of the best restaurants I ate at in San Diego. Total price - $65.23
Communal Coffee - Next we stopped to have a quick avocado toast and coffee. It was my first avocado toast at a restaurant, and although it was a little dainty, it was pretty awesomely delicious, a real treat. Price - $26.02 for everything (I think 3 coffees and avocado)
Nine Seas Seafood - Home of the Crazy Tostada, this seafood food truck is a gem of Mexican seafood. We ordered a few ceviches, not knowing how enormous the crazy tostadas were. They were huge, and packed with just about “everything from the sea.” But not only were the crazy tostates huge and crazy, but they were delicious, especially loaded with salsa. Total price - $24.75 for everything
And that completes this San Diego food tour. It was an amazing day and the food was delicious!

►Mexico City street food guide:
I met up with 5 Mexican Guys ( and they just started their channel since I met them, so go check them out!) to go on an ultimate Mexican street food tour of Mexico City. It was one of the greatest food days I had in Mexico, and we tasted so many incredible dishes.
La Esquina del Chilaquil - For breakfast in La Condesa, there’s no better place to check out than La Esquina del Chilaquil, their tortas are delicious.
Price - 40 MXN ($2.14) each
Mercado de San Juan - I wanted to quickly check out this market, but it wasn’t all that busy when we went - there wasn’t too much going on. So we had a quick scorpion and then continued on to the ultimate street food market.
Scorpion - 160 MXN ($8.54) for 4
Mercado de La Merced - Mexico City is packed with street food, but if you want a food experience that’s busy, in your face, and always exciting and delicious, Mercado de la Merced is one of the greatest places to start. You’ll encounter massive amounts of street food that will blow your mind with how delicious they are. Here are the things we ate at the market:
Quesadilla - 57 MXN ($3.04) for 3
Fries tacos - 20 MXN ($1.07) each
Pancita - 40 MXN ($2.14) per bowl
Pambazo
Mamey - 15 MXN ($0.80)
Mango - 15 MXN ($0.80)
Churrería El Moro - This wasn’t street food, but we needed a little afternoon break, and there’s no better spot in Mexico City for churros than Churrería El Moro.
Total price - 439 MXN ($23.44) for all
Esquites - 20 MXN ($1.07) - After walking around El Zocalo - the center of Mexico City, we then had a corn snack os esquites where they add corn, mayo, cheese, and chili salsas to a cup. It’s pretty tasty.
Loncheria La Rambla - Next we tried a Mexican style turkey sandwich - it was alright, but not the best food of the day.
Torta de pavo - 35 MXN ($1.87) each
Taquería Los Cocuyos - And finally to end this Mexico City street food tour with 5 Mexican Guys, we headed to Taquería Los Cocuyos, a legendary taco stall in the heart of the center of the city. The tacos are amazing, and it was the perfect was to end this day of incredible Mexican food.
Tacos de cabeza - 17 MXN ($0.91) each
Again, thank you to Moises and 5 Mexican Guys for reaching out! Check them out here:
