Photography at Glencoe and the Harry Potter Train in Scotland
Photography was finally on the plan today in Scotland. We started at Glencoe and ended up at the Harry Potter train.
For more of my travel photography check out my IG at @brendanvanson.
Photography at Glencoe was really high on my list of places to shoot in Scotland. So, I was pretty stoked to see it on my schedule for this project. I've wanted to shoot a location here for ages, but I really didn't know where to go. Luckily, I quizzed Chris the other day, and he pointed me to a place called Ralston Plaque.
Landscape photography in Scotland is always a mission, too. The weather is never perfect, and it changes from minute to minute. So, even when you think the weather is going to be terrible, you have to go up and do some shooting, and hope for the best. Unfortunately, the light wasn't the greatest.
Luckily, landscape photography at Glencoe is always amazing because even if the light is bad, the location is so amazing that it still works.
After my sunrise photogrpahy at Glencoe, I was supposed to go to see the Harry Potter train crossing. But, I had limited time, so I really had to race. Luckily, I got there just before it arrived.
The Harry Potter train is cool, too! I was actually pretty stoked about it. I think it would be an amazing location to shoot if it was a really cold morning and the steam from the train was really strong.
That said, the Harry Potter train comes and goes so fast that you really only have one shot at it. So, I thought I liked my idea for my shot, but I'm not super stoked with it. Still, it's cool.
And, just seeing the Harry Potter train was cool enough.
In the afternoon, I headed towards the town of Oban where I got a massage before the rains came in and I called it a day.
Tomorrow, there's another Scotland vlog. So, stay tuned!
