Pirámides y Monumentos Más Importantes de México / Mexico Piramids and Monuments [IGEO.TV]
Cada 18 de abril se celebra el Día Internacional de los Monumentos y de los Sitios. Se trata de una iniciativa puesta en marcha por la UNESCO. Y como este es un buen pretexto para visitar los múltiples monumentos de nuestro país, aquí te dejamos algunos ejemplos. Comenzamos con Chichén Itzá, con su impresionante Templo de Kukulcán, en Yucatán
Uxmal. Es uno de los más importantes centros ceremoniales mayas. Localizado en Mérida, destaca por su Pirámide del Adivino.
Monumento a la Patria. Una de las joyas más importantes de Mérida, en Yucatán. Es obra del escultor Rómulo Rozo y se encuentra en el Paseo Montejo.
Templo de las inscripciones. Se encuentra en la ciudad maya de Palenque y destaca por su alto grado de conservación. Fue construido en el año 675 d.C. en el territorio actual de Chiapas.
Palacio de Bellas Artes. Un emblema de la Ciudad de México. Es el centro cultural más importante del país y declarado Monumento Artístico desde 1987 por la UNESCO
Monumento a la Independencia. Se encuentra en la capital mexicana y conmemora el movimiento de liberación consumado en 1810. Fue construido para celebrar el Centenario de la Independencia y contiene los restos de Miguel Hidalgo, Ignacio Allende, Vicente Guerrero y Leona Vicario, entre otros.
Hemiciclo a Juárez. Se localiza en el Centro Histórico de la capital y es un homenaje al ex presidente Benito Juárez. Se construyó en 1910 por órdenes de Porfirio Díaz
Catedral Metropolitana de la Ciudad de México. Es la sede de la Arquidiócesis Primada de México ubicada frente a la Plaza de la Constitución. Tiene 16 capillas y su construcción tomó alrededor de tres siglos.
Each April 18 marks the International Day for Monuments and Sites. It is an initiative launched by UNESCO. And since this is a good excuse to visit the many monuments of our country, here we are some examples. We started with Chichen Itza, with its impressive Temple of Kukulcan in Yucatan
Uxmal. It is one of the most important Mayan ceremonial centers. Located in Merida, known for its Pyramid of the Magician.
Monument to the Fatherland. One of the most important jewels of Merida in Yucatan. It sculptor Romulo Rozo and is in the Paseo Montejo.
Temple of the Inscriptions. It is located in the Mayan city of Palenque and features a high degree of conservation. It was built in 675 A.D. in the present territory of Chiapas.
Palace of Fine Arts. An emblem of the City of Mexico. It is the most important cultural center of the country and declared Artistic Monument since 1987 by UNESCO
Independence Monument. It is located in Mexico City and commemorates the liberation movement accomplished in 1810. It was built to celebrate the Centennial of Independence and contains the remains of Miguel Hidalgo, Ignacio Allende, Vicente Guerrero and Leona Vicario, among others.
Juarez Chamber. It is located in the historic center of the capital and is a tribute to former President Benito Juárez. It was built in 1910 by order of Porfirio Diaz
Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico City. It is the seat of the Archdiocese of Mexico located off the Plaza de la Constitution. It has 16 chapels and its construction took about three centuries.

Last Thursday we went on an adventure searching for the new tour we want to launch hopefully very soon. We started our road trip to Puerto Morelos, 20 minutes from Playa del Carmen, taking the Ruta de los Cenotes (cenote route). We vistited cenote Popol Vul, Cenote siete bocas, cenote Zapote among others and ended the day in a little town called Leona Vicario it is one of the communities in the municipality of Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo. The town is named for Leona Vicario the wife of Mexican Independence figure Andres Quintana Roo.
It's our aim to provide helpful content related to traveling, the Mexican Caribbean, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum sightseeing, places to go and not go and in general being a reliable source of knowledge about this area.
