巡礼の旅 その1 千貫森 川俣村 A pilgrimage to Soma area Chapter 1 α A77 Movie
I took a journey to the area Soma in Fukushima prefecture with youtube user zaku655 whose address of youtube channel is here,
I decided to go to Minami-Soma area because of invitation sent from him.
MInami-Soma has not been broadcast as the serious damaged area by Tsunami caused by the earthquake occurred on 11th march 2011 yet.
But according to his description, this area was really damaged and
he hoped me to see the situation there.
I was so impressed by his message that I chose it as the destination on holidays called golden week in Japan.
We started a journey to Minami-Soma at the forest Sengan-mori by car,
which is called as the hometown of UFO, I don't know the reason why.
At first,I took the videos of the peaks Azuma-renpo(吾妻連峰),
and after that we arrived at the village Kawamata-mura where is well known as
one of the places affected by radioactive particles seriously.
In chapter 1 and 2,I'll show you the areas affected by radioactive substances and how they affected on people's lives.
And after chapter 3,I'll show you the areas affected by the great force of Tsunami's waves and things left after that.
I determined this journey as my pilgrimage to the area affected by Tsunami,
earthquake and the severe accident of Fukushima first nuclear power plant.

Minamisanriku, over 13 months after the tsunami
Another drive through Minamisanriku from 28 April, 2012, a year after my first one. A lot busier traffic-wise, the Eneos petrol station fully open for business and some busy looking construction around Sun Port, the town's old supermarket/department store.
Still heaps of debris around though, but a few more temporary businesses in portacabins next to the town's old emergency centre where Miki Endo stuck to her post. broadcasting warnings over the PA to save thousands.
If you're up this way, call in at Cafe G on R45 heading South out of town, just past the big white Hotel Kanyo on the headland. Great coffee, snacks, pizza and ice cream with friendly staff and amazing views. It was one of the first places to reopen here after the tsunami and would really appreciate your support!
2013 Myouenji Fest, Rifle Demo
During the 4th weekend of October, the Myounji shrine in Ijuin City, Kagoshima prefecture, holds a festival commemorating a 1-day forced march by retreating samurai following the battle of Sekigahara. There are various activities both Saturday and Sunday, and a 20 km (12 mile) walk from Terukuni Shrine in Kagoshima City to Ijuin. I did the walk in 3.5 hours, then hung around the festival grounds to watch some of the stage shows. This one is a historical recreation group demonstrating the rifles used during that battle. The camera is shaky because my legs were giving out and the crowd was cleared away from the chairs to prevent burns from the used wadding.
