Dodds Diaries Episode 54C - Holiday in Wales Part 3/5

BEFORE I START. AN ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING PART 4 WALES AND PART 2 BIRMINGHAM WEEKEND WILL BE MADE SOON.

Anyway this is part 3 of my Wales holiday and in this part I travel around to a few places on a Explore Cardiff and Valleys day ticket. I start the day with a spotting session at Cardiff Queen Street then move onto the seaside resort of Barry Island in the Vale of Glamorgan. Barry Island was a lovely place. It is where Gavin & Stacey is filmed and I didn't know this at the time.

After Barry Island I head a little north into the valleys and stop off at Caerphilly. I have a look around the town and look at Caerphilly castle. Heading back south I stop off in Cardiff for a pit stop then move onto another seaside resort. This time its Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan round the corner from Cardiff. Penarth was a lovely peaceful resort and the weather was beautiful.

After Penarth I move onto Bridgend which was the furthest west on the South Wales main line I could go with my ticket. After Bridgend I go back to Cardiff but via Rhoose Cardiff Airport and Barry once again and once I am back to Cardiff I do a late night spotting session in Central station which was better than the day time session and then turn in for the night.

As I said at the start an announcement regarding Wales part 4 and Birmingham weekend day 2 will be made soon. Those who have me on facebook will know what it is.

GoPro Hero2 North Wales timelapse - Anglesey (Llanfairynghornwy) to Dolydd near Caernavon

First play with a new GoPro Hero2 video camera. The camera was mounted inside the car and was shooting an image once per second. The weather wasn't ideal but for a test it was ok.

In total there are 3000 images making up this short timelapse compiled at 25fps

Take off at Cardiff Airport - on Fokker 50 - to Paris

Had a good flight with CityJet from Cardiff to Orly Airport, Paris last month. Return flight was fine also.
