UK: Class 313 EMUs depart Hertford North on a London Moorgate bound passenger service
Class 313 EMUs (313059 & 313043) depart Hertford North working train 2J67, the 1128 Stevenage to London Moorgate.
Clip recorded 8th December 2018.
The British Rail Class 313 is a dual-voltage electric multiple unit (EMU) train built by BREL York Works between February 1976 and April 1977. They were the first second-generation EMUs to be constructed for British Rail and the first British Rail units with both a pantograph for 25 kV AC overhead lines and shoegear for 750 V DC third rail supply. They were the first units in Britain to have multi-function Tightlock couplers, allowing coupling and the connection of control electric and air supplies to be carried out from the cab.
Following the withdrawal of most first-generation stock, they are the oldest EMUs in regular service on National Rail on the British mainland; the oldest units are now 42 years old.

The Great Northern Route (formerly known as Great Northern Electrics) is the name given to suburban rail services run on the southern end of Britain's East Coast Main Line and its associated branches. Services operate to or from London King's Cross and Moorgate in London. Destinations include Hertford North, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Peterborough, Cambridge and King's Lynn. Services run through parts of Greater London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
The route forms a major commuter route into London from Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and eastern Bedfordshire; ridership has grown rapidly over recent years. In 2009 rolling stock was transferred from other lines to allow additional services and longer trains to be run. In early 2018 the line was connected to the Thameslink route via a junction just south of the High Speed 1 bridge, north of King's Cross, allowing through services to south of London.

Hertford North railway station is one of two stations serving the town of Hertford in Hertfordshire, England, the other being Hertford East railway station.
Hertford North is about ten minutes walk from the town centre in North Road and opened on 2 June 1924, replacing the similarly named station (known until 1923 as Hertford Cowbridge) on the branch from Hatfield. It is 19 miles 48 chains (31.54 km) down the line from London King's Cross on the Hertford Loop Line which provides a diversion from the East Coast Main Line from Alexandra Palace to Langley Junction just south of Stevenage. Stations on the line include Stevenage, Watton-at-Stone, Bayford and Cuffley. Trains on this line are run by Great Northern. It has one terminal and two through platforms and features a lift, a small shop, two ticket booths and ticket barriers.

Hertford is the historic county town of Hertfordshire, England, and is also a civil parish in the East Hertfordshire district of the county.
Hertford has been the county town of Hertfordshire since Saxon times when it was governed by the king's reeves.
Hertford is at the confluence of four river valleys: the Rib, Beane and Mimram join the River Lea at Hertford to flow east and then south toward the Thames as the Lee Navigation, after Hertford Castle Weir. The shared valley of the Lea and the Beane is called Hartham Common and this provides a large park to one side of the town centre running towards Ware and lying below the ridge upon which Bengeo is situated.
The town centre still has its medieval layout with many timber-framed buildings hidden under later frontages, particularly in St Andrew Street.

London - Chelsea Physic Garden
(where you can find all information, vídeos, pics, ...)
04/06/2014 – 10/06/2014 – London / Londres
Avaliação no TripAdvisor (
Quando se pensa em Londres muito dificilmente associamos a um pequeno jardim botânico! No histórico bairro de Chelsea, o Chelsea Physic Garden oferece um sem número de espécies de plantas! Vale bem a pena a visita! Não deixe de passar pela zona da perfumaria, onde uma série de plantas deixa um odor magnifico no ar.
Descrição no site (
Tucked away beside the Thames, Chelsea Physic Garden is a celebration of the beauty and importance of plants. This walled Garden was founded in 1673 by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries for its apprentices to study the medicinal qualities of plants. It became one of the most important centres of botany and plant exchange in the world. Today, as an independent charity, we rely on visitors, Friends and supporters to help protect and nurture the Garden for future generations.
