NETHERLANDS six castles in Gelderland (hd-video)
There are many castles in the Netherlands. In the province of Gelderland you will find nearly two hundred castles or caste-like estates.
I have visited six of them on one day (all near my hometown).
You can walk around most of the castles and some you can visit.
The first three (doorwerth, rosendael and vorden) are open to the public. The other ones (Hackfort, Ampsen and Wildenborch are private).

The Don'ts of Visiting Germany
1. Don't Assume German Are The Cold Stereotypes You Have Heard of Your Whole Life.
2. Don't Jaywalk, so follow the rules in Germany.
3. Don't Forget the Pfand or deposit that you may put down for beer mugs, bottles, cans and other things. You can get that money back.
4. Don't forget to bring flowers or a small gift when visiting a German's home. Also, don't wear your shoes inside their homes.
5. Don't be disrespectful at the Nazi concentration camps and memorials around the country.
6. Don't Wait: when at restaurants or bars order as soon as you can as waiters do not come through to check on tables as often as they do in other countries.
7. Don't Experiment on Driving on the Autobahn. It can be very dangerous for first time drivers.
8. Don't Expect to Shop on Sundays in Germany.
9. Don't forget to bring cash. Germans love to pay in cash and some places will only accept cash. So be ready.
10. Don't expect to see just half timbered houses in Germany. It is a thriving modern country with tons of amazing culture, architecture and technology.

High up on an old vineyard Schloss Vitzenburg is located. The castle is surrounded by a landscape you couldn't paint more beautiful. This mansion in the Neo-Renaissance style is visible from far away, so it became the landmark of the region. But the owner of the castle isn’t interested in rescuing it. Instead it’s decaying more and more. For decades this place has been closed to the public. But a short time ago we had the chance to enter the castle. We set out on a search for clues, to find out what happened to this historical site which had become famous because of a story about a witch.

Les Pays-Bas sont un petit pays de 41 528 km² de superficie, dont environ 7 745 km² sont occupés par des lacs, des étangs, des canaux et des cours d'eau. Ils portent bien leur nom. Il s'agit en effet d'un pays plat, sans relief, dont une partie des terres ont été en grande partie gagnées sur la mer au fil des siècles : plus du quart du territoire se trouve même au-dessous du niveau de la mer du Nord ! Ces terrains appelés « polders » sont protégés par des digues, des dunes et des stations de pompage. U.S. Virgin Islands Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
The U.S. Virgin Islands are situated in the Caribbean, just a three-hour flight from Miami. Located southwest of the British Virgin Islands, the U.S. Virgins are made up of three main islands and surrounded by around fifty smaller cays and islets.
The largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Croix was first named Santa Cruz by Christopher Columbus in 1493.
Taste the historical flavors of the island at the Cruzan Rum Distillery, where the spirit of St Croix has been lovingly bottled for over 200 years.
Estate Whim Museum was one of the most prosperous sugar plantations in the region, and today it remains a favorite stop for history lovers.
Frederiksted is the island’s main port town. Plagued by pirates, the Dutch built Fort Frederik here in the 1750s.
Admire the island’s colorful European influence in Christiansted. Once the capital of the Danish West Indies, this town is a postcard-worthy example of Danish architecture and style.
Just a 20-minute flight north of St Croix is St. Thomas, the second largest island in the territory.
St. Thomas is home to the U.S. Virgin Island’s capital, Charlotte Amalie, a bustling port town which is often dominated by huge luxury liners.
Commanding views of the port can be enjoyed from the top of the St Thomas Skyride, or Blackbeard’s Castle.
Once you’ve explored St. Thomas, take the short ferry ride to St. John. Step ashore at Cruz Bay, the largest of this island’s towns.
Visit the Annaberg Plantation, whose mills fell silent when slavery was abolished. Wander through the old slave quarters and crumbling windmill which overlooks Leinster Bay.
Explore more plantation ruins just off the shoreline at Cinnamon Bay, where Mother Nature reclaims the time-worn stone structures with each passing year.
Many European countries occupied the U.S Virgin Islands throughout their history until the United States purchased them from Denmark in 1917.
Over 100 years later, the islands remain a U.S. territory, popular with American vacationers as they require no passport and the primary currency is the U.S. dollar.

The Veneto, the mainland province around Venice, takes its name from the Veneti, the pre-Roman inhabitants of the region. The region bore the brunt of fierce and destructive barbarian attacks that began in the 4th century. Fleeing the Goths, the people of the Veneto sought refuge among the wild and uninhabited islands of their marshy coast.
Building on a patchwork of more than 100 low-lying islands in the middle of a swampy lagoon they formed villages and the city of Venice rose in 421 AD. By the 13th century Venice ruled Byzantium. At its height, Venice was one of the greatest military and commercial powers on earth. In population it was four times the size of Rome and London combined. In 1508 the Pope, the kings of France and Spain and the Holy Roman Emperor joined forces to stop the advances of this powerful empire.

Although her expansion was halted, the city of Venice continued to dominate the eastern Mediterranean for another 200 years. In 1846 Venice lost its isolation when a causeway joined the city to the mainland and the Italian rail network.
