24-HOURS IN BRUSSELS VLOG (WAFFLES, BEER, CHOCOLATE, GRAND PLACE!!) | 02-01-2019
On the 2nd of January, Robyn's brother dropped us off at Brussels airport so that Robyn and I could catch a train into Brussels Central Station. This will mark the beginning of our 24-hour adventure in Brussels before we catch the train to Amsterdam (where we will spend 2 nights!)
In this video, you'll join us as we walk from Central station directly into the Godiva chocolate shop! :-) Then you'll join us as we check-in to our room at Bedroom.
Afterwards, we will take you on an adventure where we will take you to experience the following;
- Mulled wine
- show you Winter Wonders
- Grand Place
- Cave Du Roy (and eat snails!)
- a place for beer degustation
- the Grand Place light show
- a waffle place
- a comic museum
- a smurf store
We walked into tons of chocolate shops and walked the small cobblestones streets. We did all of this in exactly 24 hours ;)

Belguim; home of Tin Tin , the Manneken pis, Belgian Fries and Brussels - the home of the European Union. If you come for business stay a little longer you may be surprised what you will find. So how do you get from the Zaventem airport to Central Brussels , let me count the ways
The main airport in Brussels is Brussels Airport – Zaventem (BRU), located in the area of Zaventem, about 20 minutes by train from the city centre (Brussels Central Station).
There are many options to choose from: train, public buses, hotel shuttles, taxis and car rentals. If you have booked a limo or other private transfer, your driver will probably meet you after you clear immigration.
The train station, taxis, airport & shuttle buses are located directly under the departures and arrivals hall. The train station is located on level -1, bus and shuttles on level 0 and taxis on level 2.

EUROPES Most DISAPPOINTING Attraction in Brussels Belgium!
Belgium is the 35th country we have visited, and when we arrived in Brussels after the events of the last week, we so happy to have a regular travel day. We saw all the major Brussel attractions, we saw the most disappointing attraction in Brussels, and Europe! Mannequin pis, which is what Brussels is know for. We also visited the Atomium and the grand place.
But, throughout our whole travels, I have been resisting tasting waffles, even though they were EVERYWHERE in Northern Europe. I wanted to have an Iconic Belgium waffle. So over the this video and the next, I eat so many waffles from Brussels, Bruges and Ghent, to assess which city has the best Belgium waffle. It is a waffle off!
So far Brussels does well in the Belgium waffle game, it is the capital of Belgium, so you should expect a strong waffle from them. But how will Brussels compare to Bruges and Ghent? Subscribe to find out!!
