Bay Area MTB. South San Jose. Santa Theresa Park. Rocky Ridge to Ohlone
This was a fun little ride a friend and I took on 11-15-17. Camera angle was a little low but hey, it’s a free video. As usual the “GoPro” effect was in play, rocks are much larger than they appear.
Thanks for watching don’t be afraid of the “Like” button and subscribers can say they were among the first. This will be a regular posting channel specializing in Bay Area trails for the casual weekend rider.
(5-19-16) [HD] San Jose Fire Dept Wildland Fire Training Exercise at Santa Teresa County Park
(Watch in HD) I finally got the chance to attend a training exercise! In this case, a wildland fire exercise! And as an added bonus, I got to see Calfire Chopper 902 taking off up close and personal! Enjoy!
Santa Teresa Park Rocky Ridge Trail
First time on this side of Santa Teresa Park. I didn't go too far cause the sun was going down, I'm out of shape, and I hadn't ridden much the last two weeks due to rain and mud.
I look forward to exploring more over here. That's a rocky trail.

Places to see in ( San Jose - USA )
Places to see in ( San Jose - USA )
San Jose is a large city surrounded by rolling hills in Silicon Valley, a major technology hub in California's Bay Area. Architectural landmarks, from the 1883 Italianate-style Oddfellows building to Spanish Colonial Revival structures, make up the downtown historic district. The downtown area is also home to the Tech Museum of Innovation, devoted to the exploration of science and technology.
El Pueblo de San José de Guadalupe (literally, The Town of Saint Joseph of Guadalupe) was founded by José Joaquín Moraga in 1777 near the present day intersection of Guadalupe Parkway and West Taylor Street. In 1797, the pueblo was moved to the Plaza Pueblo (now Plaza de César Chávez), around which San Jose grew. And the rest is, as they say, history. True to its location in the heart of Silicon Valley, San Jose is now home to the headquarters of many tech companies such as Cisco Systems, eBay, and Adobe Systems.
There are many different neighborhoods in the geographic area of San Jose that, depending on where you are, you might not know if you're still in the same city. Like most Bay Area cities, San Jose is an expensive place to live -one of the city's few negatives. Some of the hip areas to live these days are in San Jose's downtown area, for those who prefer urban living, or Santana Row for a mixed living, shopping and dining community. You can find vintage California charm in the neighborhoods of Willow Glen and Rose Garden. The woodsy area of Almaden Valley is known for its excellent schools, and Silver Creek is known for its subdivisions of sprawling McMansions. Evergreen is in East San Jose, right at the foothills of the city. Evergreen has some more affordable housing and is very residential. Since it is at the foothills, east San Jose is not as accessible as the other neighborhoods. Evergreen has excellent views of the foothills and many parks and recreational areas. Groesbeck Hill Park is located right in the heart of Evergreen and offers a mile long loop, basketball courts, baseball fields, playgrounds, and hiking trails.
San Jose is also a very diverse city with a high foreign born population, mainly due to the location in the Silicon Valley. The Vietnamese community in San Jose is one of the largest foreign born communities. In fact, San Jose has the highest number of Vietnamese immigrants of any city outside Vietnam. Other significant foreign born communities include Indians, Chinese, Filipino, and Latin American.

Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve offers San Jose hiking trails
Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve is a lovely hike in the San Francisco Bay Area in Morgan Hill. Santa Clara Valley has numerous hiking trails including many state parks, Santa Teresa County Park, Santa Clara County parks and many Open Space Preserves.
This video takes you on a tour of the park one spring evening when hills around San Francisco Bay Area are green and wildflowers are in bloom in every park. At sunset time, the rolling hills, mature & young trees, California poppies, and all the wildflowers bloom in spring and make the earth come alive.
Bay Area hikes are great all year-round, but there are favorite hikes for all seasons. There the tons of choices for hiking in San Jose, I like this one because its close to San Jose, its small 4.5-mile round trip but offers gorgeous views of all of San Jose.
