Surfing Heritage Foundation Fundraiser Event Hawaiian Isles Vintage Surf Auction Film
This video was made at Jimmy Buffett's Restaurant in Waikiki at the Beachcomber Hotel. The last Hawaiian Islands Vintage Surf Auction hosted and organized by Randy Rarick was held at the Blaisdell Center in Honolulu in 2011 and beamed live around the world to interested surfing collectors everywhere. From that event a two hour surf film has been created and to highlight this film, a premier showing event was held on August 6, 2012 by Randy Rarick as a fundraiser for the Surfing Heritage Foundation in San Clemente, California. I attended this event and filmed a number of unusual and vintage surfing legends who came to support the great mission of this Surfing Heritage Foundation. This video is not Randy Rarick's film. This is just a video of the event where Randy's film was premiered. If you have an interest in the preservation of surfing history, you would have loved to show that support by being there. Now you can get a flavor of having been there by watching this video. And if you would like to support the mission of the Surfing Heritage Foundation you can go to surfingheritage.org/ or you can also go to the Surfing Heritage Foundation channel on You Tube. Please enjoy this video.

“The Endless Summer” Defined Surf Culture on Its Own Terms | Lost LA | Season 3 | Episode 1
When Bruce Brown set out to document a trip around the world as two surfers bypass seasonal chill in order to ride a continuous summer surf, he contributed to spreading the culture of California. The Endless Summer is the embodiment of the California Dream, giving a valid reinterpretation to surf culture from careless teen beach parties to seasoned pro athletes — with a heavy helping of the California sun. Featuring interviews with pro surfer Joyce Hoffman, film distributor R. Paul Allen and Surfing Heritage and Cultural Center archivist Dan Foote.
