This is A Major Road in St. Louis
It was one block in St. Louis. North Grand Blvd.
We drove down it to get from the airport to our hotel. I stuck the camera out the window. What's fascinating is how run down this major road was for so long of a distance. I think it felt like a mile.
A bunch of my friends, gosh bless them, do war reporting and other journalism in other countries. Well this country, this mighty United States of America, needs a bunch of help all over the place. And maybe it would be easier to help here. In any possible way.
Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt by Chris Hedges has been a huge help looking further into the failing of the American dream.
We all need to do something.

As for the previous gig, a barrier was set between the crowd and the stage and only the fans from the front rows were allowed next to it. A few of them made it up to hug their idol, especially during Suedehead and the encores. There was no change in the setlist.
Morrissey shook a tambourine during the first few bars of Certain People I Know then threw it into the audience. After the song he commented: You know I'm really so glad there is so much security because it makes me feel really secure. In My Insatiable One, Morrissey sang I've got this terrible feeling instead of the usual I've got this horrible feeling. After Tomorrow, he addressed the audience. At this point into the concert, he started interacting more with the fans in the front rows. He chatted with them and picked up their gifts (and sometimes sent them back flying into the crowd).
As he had done earlier in the evening with a tambourine, Morrissey started You're The One For Me, Fatty with maracas and threw them into the crowd when he was done with them. After Seasick, Yet Still Docked, to someone in the audience, Morrissey replied What? Yes what... we're English... One of the few fans who made it on stage during the encore sang a bit of Everyday Is Like Sunday with Morrissey.

US Army Armored Vehicles Roll Through St. Louis - The Acclimation Continues
Nothing to see here folks, just another routine exercise to condition the public. In the coming months and years (absent a true intellectual revolution), heavy armor will become an ever-more common site on the nation's roads and highways. This group of MP's from Maryland ostensibly had to travel halfway across the country to conduct a military driver's ed of sorts..on the highways and city streets. Sounds kosher to you?
There's a million reasons these APC's could be in the area- I get the sense that the military is BS-ing the public as a matter of policy. Note that although the armored vehicles are reportedly in the North St. Louis area, the US Army has ordered the media not to disclose the location- as if they are under armed resistance (in a hostile area of operations). This is the policy of NORTHCOM- as the whole country- and the whole world- is now a battlefield in the war on terror. The language used by military spokesmen in the news package is suggestive of an operational theatre- not ordinary exercises.
I object to mechanized death machines rolling around on our civilian streets. No military force has ever been so well funded- and yet there is no better place to train on 30 ton Armored Fighting Vehicles than on public roadways?

Detailed Biography of Corporate Magician James Brandon:
Long before he became a professional magician, James Brandon’s sister presented him with a starter magic set for his twelfth birthday. At the time she had no idea that it would inevitably lead to his professional career as a comedy magician, illusionist, emcee and actor.
His high-tech magic show gained him immediate success in Europe as he became the youngest variety artist to headline at the famed Alcazar de Paris. He concluded his 28th tour of Europe with a Command Performance for the Royal Family of Monaco.
Among the most prestigious Medals and Grand Prizes bestowed upon James are the Siegfried and Roy “Golden Lion Award” he received in Las Vegas, the World Magic Olympics Medal he won in Japan and the “Golden Mandrake”, presented in Paris.
U.S. appearances at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall sparked interest from 20th Century Fox who then hired James to turn Oscar winner Joe Pesci, into a “magician”, for the hit film, “My Cousin Vinny”.
6 South American tours supported by 23 television appearances resulted in his being featured on Univision’s “Best of Sabado Gigante” seen by 170 million people worldwide. The success of that one appearance led to James starring in the widely viewed American TV magic Specials, “The Great Magic of Las Vegas” for the Fox Family channel.
Naturally James relocated to Las Vegas where he went on to headline in 7 long running shows as emcee, comedy magician and illusionist, including “Splash” at the Riviera and “Imagine” at the Luxor.
James’ Magic and Grand Illusion show then toured Asia 7 times finishing off at Genting, a 2000 seat theater in Malaysia, where he sold out 2 shows a night for six straight months.
If James’ face seems familiar it might be due to the fact that for 3 years he was the pitch - magician for “IcyHot – Vanishing Scent” on their national TV commercials.
With the exception of a few select yearly appearances on television or in Las Vegas James currently dedicates all of his focus as a magician for corporate events.
