Smino + Zero Fatigue: Day Zero (Documentary) | Mass Appeal
Smino is undeniably dope. The St. Louis native comes from a musical family, with his father being a keyboardist and his mother a singer and a grandfather that played with the blues legend Muddy Waters. Yet, following high school, Smino felt like he had to leave his family and his hometown to pursue a career in music in Chicago.
I left on some desperate shit, Smino says in our new documentary, DAY ZERO. The way I left St. Louis, I got a bag and a place to sleep. And the place I had to sleep was a small booth in this place called the Music Factory.”
That experience gave Smino a creative community and a path to success. On March 14, he released his debut solo album, blkswn, through his own Zero Fatigue label in partnership with Downtown Records. Even though he left home to find his success, the release date--3/14--was an ode to his hometown's area code. As he states in the film's opening, “We done came a long fucking way. We done been on the east coast. South, west coast. We been to Canada. But still ain’t no motherfucking city fucking with St. Louis, Missouri. And that’s just as 100 as I can keep it.”
DAY ZERO follows Smino as he returns home to closeout his first headlining tour. The film documents his dedication, his motivation, his music, and his undeniable love for the city that raised him. Watch the full-length doc above.

Branson Fun for FREE! Waterfall Hike + Moonshine Beach | RVing the Midwest
On today's episode we head out for a fun-packed and FREE day in the tourist capital of the Midwest - Branson, Missouri. We spent an entire week in Branson and tried to find as many cheap and free activities as we could among all of the shows and rides and shopping. Our first two destinations for the week were an awesome little water hike called the Waterfall Trail and then a swim over at Moonshine Beach on Table Rock Lake. We had a fantastic time at both places and highly recommend you check them both out when you visit Branson.

The Gateway Arch and an Amazing FREE ZOO | Family Fun in St. Louis!
On today's episode we head into St. Louis to two great places - an amazing free zoo and a trip to the top of the Gateway Arch! First up is the St. Louis Zoo, a huge and incredible FREE zoo which we all fell completely in love with. There were hundreds of animals, great enclosures, really interesting exhibits, and a whole bunch of fun things for the kids to see and do. We also found a really cool park right across the Mississippi from the Gateway Arch with an observation tower!
On our second day in St. Louis, Erin and Terra went and checked out the famous Gateway Arch. Erin gives you the rundown on how ticketing works, the best way to get those tickets, and even a close-up look at how you get to the top. The visitor center and museum under the arch are super cool, but they're nothing compared to the views from the top!

What is Warped Tour? You ask
The Warped Tour is a traveling rock festival that has toured the United States (including 3 or 4 stops in Canada) annually each summer since 1995. It is the largest traveling music festival in the United States, and is the longest-running touring music festival in North America. The first Warped Tour took place in 1995, and the skateboard shoe manufacturer, Vans, became the main sponsor of the tour starting with the second tour in 1996, when it became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Although Vans has continued to be the main sponsor and lend its name to the festival, other sponsors have also participated, with stages or other aspects of the festival sometimes being named after them.
I went to the June 31st Atlanta date, this was both my 2nd/last year going to warped tour. Dude words can’t describe how much my heart beat the entire day I was out there walking, moshing, screaming, and I even crowd surfed twice at the With Confidence set and once at the Issues set. I met up with my internet pals Bri, Cici, Brendan, Eddie and his cousin, I also met Meet Me @ The Altars vocalist/my Instagram buddy Edith, met YouTuber tripp3karma, met up with Lost At Last vocalist Taylor Barber & a bunch of people who know my instagram. I got to see This Wild Life, Waterparks (again), The Maine, Story Untold, With Confidence, Dayseeker, Don Broco, Simple Plan, Motionless In White, Tonight Alive (again), Issues, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, State Champs (again), Real Friends, As It Is, and one band from the Full Sail Stage that I still can’t find out who they are, but I thought they were great (if you know who they are, please tell me). I really really really really miss this day already, I made so memories from last year and I’m glad I got to make some this year, I moshed in most of the pits and I sang my heart out in the Issues crowd. When I saw Tonight Alive come up, I cried as soon as Jenna talked to us (the crowd), everything she said I could relate to and it just made me cry and feel so happy, she made me feel such a happiness I haven’t felt in a long time????. I got to do quick little interviews with three of my idols, Chris Ryan (YouTuber I’ve been watching since 2015 and one of the YouTubers who inspired me to write and make videos), Tyler Carter (vocalist of Issues), And Matty Breesworth (2nd vocalist for Hall of the Elders). I want to say to you guys out there that warped tour has and will always be a great part of me. I remember hearing about warped tour from YouTubers BryanStars, Robby, Chris Ryan, VeeOneEye, Johnnie Guilbert, Jordan Sweeto, dakotwint and I said “I got to go to this”, but I couldn’t go 2015 because it was too late and 2016, it was bad timing, but I just am glad i got to go last year and this year and spend it with awesome loving people. Thanks Bri, Cici, Eddie, Brendan, Taylor, Jeremiah, Allisa, and all the guys I moshed with and gave High fives to for putting up with a weirdo like me. Thank you warped tour for giving me a place I can express myself fully the way I am without any negativity or judgement and a place filled with rad and caring musicians. You’ll forever be missed, but never forgotten, thank you. #ForeverWarped

Echo Bluff State Park | Fall Camping Missouri | RV Life
We spent 5 days at Echo Bluff State Park in Missouri for some great fall weather camping! Katie finally got to get out and do some astrophotography and the night sky was beautiful. We also got to finally eat at the Creekside Grill, located in Betty Lea Lodge It was our last camping trip of the season and we winterized the trailer afterwards, but we have a ton of great memories and ended at our favorite campground!

St. Louis Park Skatepark Review
I moved to St. Louis Park, Minnesota in the summer of 2016 -- the summer the Rec Center closed its skate park. Until October 2017, St. Louis Park didn't have a skate park. But now, the city offers the local skate community a 6,500-square-foot concrete park with a number of rails, a mini, neat little bumps and gaps, and a mellow step-up.
The city worked with California Skateparks, a premier skatepark design and build firm based in Upland, Calif. The firm has built skateparks all over the world, including nearly 200 in North America. They've built other parks in Minnesota too, like the plaza in St. Cloud. The St. Louis Park skatepark shares Carpenter Park with a baseball diamond and a neighboring practice field.

A Nuclear Waste Dump You Can Walk On: Weldon Spring, Missouri
In Weldon Spring, Missouri, there is a strange, grey, windblasted seven-storey pile of rocks. It's the Weldon Spring Site: a nuclear and toxic waste dump on the site of an old uranium processing factory. And you can walk on it: it's technically a tourist attraction. That was going to be the whole of my video... and then I did some more research.

We love our Missouri State Parks! So much so we are going to attempt to visit each one and give you a comprehensive guide to each park so you know what to expect when planning a visit!
In this episode we visit Route 66 State Park which is built on top of the old town of Times Beach, MO which was evacuated due to an environmental disaster. The park is near Eureka, MO which is home to Six Flags St Louis and is only a 30 minute drive from downtown St Louis.
The park sits on over 400 acres of land and has 8.2 miles of trails of flat even trails for hiking, biking, walking or horseback riding. There are several picnic areas, 2 large shelters which can be reserved, an equine area for horse trailers and a boat launch for access to the Meramec River.

How Do We Solve The Chicago Problem?
A Chicago house party devolved into chaos when a dispute led to the shootings of 13 people -- possibly at random, police said. The 13 victims range from 16 to about 48 years old, said Fred Waller, chief of the Chicago Police Bureau of Patrol. Four of the victims -- including the 16-year-old -- are hospitalized in critical condition. The other victims are in stable condition, Waller said. The melee broke out around 12:35 a.m. Sunday in the 5700 block of South May Street. This incident stemmed from a dispute within that party, Waller said. This party was given in the memory of a subject that was slain in April. We're still developing details as far as that goes.
