IN & OUT, dentro e fuori....pelle.

IN & OUT.....skin.
Sculpture and emotions are the protagonists of this exhibition by Simona Ragazzi.
Faces and figures, perfectly shaped on sheets of clay come to life, telling and interacting with the viewer, revealing the inner side and emotional feelings of man, where fear, serenity, anger, ecstasy are no longer private emotions of which have modesty, but become the main character of an inner and outer beauty that will become a work of art.
Private notes, Hurt, are some titles of her works; sculptures in which each of us can reflect or empathize. Almost a timeless self-portrait of our emotions, delicate and foreboding, revealing how our sensitivity cannot be calculated or suppressed by evolution or by a cold society in which we often get lost and that does not give us space or place to live them.
Man is always subject and constant stimulus, never failing to tell his story, since the rupestrian carvings. Through the hands of a cultured artist like Simona, the human being fascinates us, giving emotions and moments of life.
A reflection on the concept of duality, of introspective dimension and exteriority, inclusion or exclusion, opening or border of relationships with others ... the continuing search for a dimension in which we have to find our own balance, where we can live our IN and OUT .

“We are the eyes of the Earth. We are the ears of the Earth. We are the voice of the Earth”
– Joseph Campbell
We are all, plants animals and humans, woven on the same loom of Nature. The Velathri Art Gallery aspires to promote art which brings this to the foreground of human awareness, exploring, observing and contemplating the mystery of the living world and the one family of Life, exhibiting artists who are aiming to re-unite art and audience to Nature, through Nature, inspired in Nature, shaping materials provided by Nature.
Shaping a vision where elegance meets instinct, beauty shines from insight, inspiration embraces wholeness, movement rises from roots, artistry springs from intuition and mastery is fuelled by passion; where the focus is sharp and yet spiritual, the work delicate while intense, unique and universal, light but deep, sophisticated with the wisdom of the shaman.
Curating magical cultural experience in this ancient land of the Etruscans, who named it VELATHRI, said to mean terra felice, to bridge the ordinary to elevated celebration of beauty and vitality.

Piazza della Signoria:
Piazza della Signoria is an L-shaped square in front of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. It was named after the Palazzo della Signoria, also called Palazzo Vecchio. It is the focal point of the origin and of the history of the Florentine Republic and still maintains its reputation as the political hub of the city. It is the meeting place of Florentines as well as the numerous tourists, located near Ponte Vecchio and Piazza del Duomo and gateway to Uffizi Gallery. The impressive 14th-century Palazzo Vecchio is still preeminent with its crenellated tower. The square is also shared with the Loggia della Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery, the Palace of the Tribunale della Mercanzia (1359) (now the Bureau of Agriculture), and the Palazzo Uguccioni (1550, with a facade attributed to Raphael, who however died thirty years before its construction). Located in front of the Palazzo Vecchio is the Palace of the Assicurazioni Generali (1871, built in Renaissance style).
Palazzo Vecchio
The Palazzo Vecchio (Old Palace) is the town hall of the city. This massive, Romanesque, crenellated fortress-palace is among the most impressive town halls of Tuscany. Overlooking the square with its copy of Michelangelo's David statue as well the gallery of statues in the adjacent Loggia dei Lanzi, it is one of the most significant public places in Italy, and it host cultural points and museums.Originally called the Palazzo della Signoria, after the Signoria of Florence, the ruling body of the Republic of Florence, it was also given several other names: Palazzo del Popolo, Palazzo dei Priori, and Palazzo Ducale, in accordance with the varying use of the palace during its long history. The building acquired its current name when the Medici duke's residence was moved across the Arno to the Palazzo Pitti.
Whirlwind through the Heart of Italy
Great cuisine, shopping and more sites per square inch than anywhere else -- that's Italy! Whether you want to relax at a villa, enjoy the landscape or see the sites, you know you want to go at least once. Driving through Tuscany and Umbria I loved the museums of Florence and climbing Brunelleschi's dome; the hill towns of Lucca, Sienna and San Gimignano; the leaning tower in Pisa; Etruscan tombs and ruins in Volterra, Chuisi and Orvieto; St. Francis's Basilica in Assisi; the university town of Perugia; Cortona, made famous by the movie Under the Tuscan Sun; Urbino, once home of Duke Federico da Montefeltro; the quaintness of Gubbio and the energy of Bologna. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to climb every medieval tower and visit every palace and palazzo before enjoying a good glass of wine followed by a fantastic dinner.

Florence, Italy: Michelangelo's David
One of Europe's great thrills is seeing Michelangelo's David in the flesh at the Accademia Gallery. Seventeen feet high, gleaming white, and exalted by a halo-like dome over his head, David rarely disappoints, even for those with high expectations. ITALY, Lucca Florence Siena
This video, part three of a series, includes the Italian cities of Lucca, Florence and Siena. The old city of Lucca with its ancient amphitheater now encircled with residences and shops is a charming place to visit. We visit just prior to the annual parade of lights. It was the birthplace of composers and nowadays the Lucca area has many schools of music. Next we visit Florence which was blessed by the Medici family with their villas, churches and artworks. You will see The David sculpture in the Academia museum which is an icon in Florence and admired thru the centuries. The Duomo is probably the most recognized building with its brick dome and colorful marble exterior. Over the Arno River the Ponte Vecchio bridge is a landmark in Florence. You will have a panoramic view of Florence from Michelangelo Hill, will visit piazzas where locals and tourists gather and see a snippet of the Uffizi Gallery. The video ends in Siena, just south of Florence. Both of these cities have UNESCO designation. Siena has an amazing cathedral built in the Romanesque style in the 12th century, then transformed in the 13th century to one of the finest examples of Italian Gothic architecture. Also, I have included a description of the horse race which takes place the 2nd of July and 16th of August each year in the Piazza del Campo, the central gathering place in Siena. This horse race has participants from ten of the seventeen Contradas (or city wards) in Siena and brings in visitors from all around the world to see this unusual event.
