Isla Grande, Panama Island is a popular place in Panama because of its beauty. People from all places come to the island to enjoy the water, snorkeling, fishing, listening to the sea and skinny dipping(at night mostly).The island's name does not really reflect its size, but in comparison to the other islands that surround it, it is the biggest island.
The present population, of afrocolonial origin, can be traced back to the period of massive forced migrations, specially from the regions of Guinea and the Congos, from where they take their name Congos.
Believers in magic, they still practice a rhythmic dance with its contagious drumbeat. You can visit as well the cathedral of the Black Christ, credited for numerous miracles.
Isla Grande is an exciting and popular place in Panama that people simply know as La Isla (The Island). The island is inside the Portobelo National park, just 5 minutes by motor boat from the small town of La Guaira on the main land that makes its living out fishing and tourism.
Isla grande has a population of about 300 inhabitants and its surface is mostly covered with plants and trees and its shoreline is surrounded by coral reefs. It is one of the favorite Panamanian tourist destinations and on holidays it receives visitors that fill its small beaches and its narrow town roads

Bocas del Toro, Panama:
Bocas del Toro is a province in Panama with an island chain off the Caribbean coast, and a section of mainland with a very biodiverse rainforest. Isla Colon, the most important island, is home to the capital called Bocas Town. Bocas Town is full of touristic places with many restaurants, shops and very active nightlife. Bocas del Toro combines tranquil protected bays, colourful coral reefs, verdant junge, mysterious mangrove forests, open ocean access, and diverse cultural traditions. Whatever you interest, you will find something to do here.
Sea Monkey has two spacious Bocas del Toro overwater bungalows available for nightly or weekly rental. Overwater bungalow 1 is suitable for 1-3 people and totals 600 square feet/56 square meters. It has a king size bed and a twin daybed that can be used as a sitting area or as a bed for an extra guest. Overwater bungalow 2 is slightly larger and is suitable for 1-4 people. It has a king bed and two twin daybeds.
The beds at Sea Monkey are handmade of solid wood and feature luxury mattresses, pillows, and linens. We get comments nearly every morning about how comfortable the beds are.
Speaking of sea views, the rooms feature 12-foot collapsible glass front walls that open all the way to allow for a view of nothing but sea, surrounding islands, and beautiful sunsets. You can also enjoy unobstructed sea views from the huge deck. The guests frequently spot dolphins and eagle rays from the private overwater patios, in addition to some of the best views in Panama. Top 5 Favorite Places in Panama
Panama is an amazing country rich with diversity, culture and history. The country contains the oldest European settled colony on the Pacific side of the Americas as well as an environment containing many plants and animals. These are my top five favorite places in the country. . . . so far.
Number one, the Panama Canal
The Panama Canal celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014. The country also announced a plan that will double the size of the canal and allow for more ships to pass through each year. The Panama Canal is currently the only way to quickly pass through the middle of North and South America. The canal takes my top spot as it is an example of what human engineering can do. I highly recommend a visit to everyone that visits Panama.
Number two, La Cinta Costera
La Cinta Costera is a beautiful park that runs alongside the coast. It offers walking and biking trails. It starts at Punta Paitilla and ends in Casco Viejo.
Number 3, Isla Mamey
Located on the Atlantic side of Panama, about 2 hours drive away is the tiny deserted island of Isla Mamey. Isla Mamey is a popular destination for those looking to find paradise. The water is crystal clear and calm. The island has a small trail that wraps around. From Isla Mamey you will find excellent views of the ocean and also nearby islands. If you have time I highly recommend this tiny oasis.
Number 4, Gamboa Resort
Gamboa resort is located in the center of the country about 45 minutes away from Panama City. Gamboa resort is located in the heart of the rainforest and offer spectacular views and wildlife.
Number 5, Cerro Ancon
The best photo opps of Panama City, the canal, and Amador Causeway are located 654 feet above the city at Cerro Ancon. Just remember that there will be a lot of up hill walking.
