1. West Midland Safari and Leisure ParkBewdley West Midland Safari and Leisure Park is a safari park located in Bewdley in Worcestershire, England. It was opened under the name of West Midland Safari Park in spring 1973. The park holds over 165 species of exotic animals, among other attractions such as a small theme park. The park contains the largest groups of white lions, cheetahs, hippopotami, and meerkats in the UK, as well as the largest lemur walk-through exhibit. It was also the first park in the UK to have the African big five game animals.The park is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria . VISIT WILLIAM TYNDAL MONUMENT - FREE THINGS TO DO IN SOUTH WEST ENGLAND
Standing high on top of Nibley Knoll stands the William Tyndale Monument.
The tower stands 111ft tall and dominates the skyline of the peaceful village of Nibley.
On a clear day a 120 step climb to the top will be rewarded with fantastic views across the river Severn as far as Wales.
Parking is available in a lay-by at the foot of the hill, and a 10 - 15 minute walk of medium difficulty will take you to the peak of the hill where the tower stands.
There is an honesty box at the entrance to the tower if you decide climb to the top, please give generously as all money goes towards upkeep and maintenance of this magnificent monument.
The tower was constructed in 1863 in remembrance of William Tyndale l who gave his life to translate the New Testament into English in 1526.
