The name Minya was chosen from the Aboriginal name meaning Place of Many Birds to preserve the heritage of the area.

Travel Australia: A short documentary film about Steavenson Falls in Victoria, Australia.
The Falls are near Marysville which is a couple of hours drive from Melbourne. It was filmed on a rainy and misty day. It is a tribute to the many lives lost during the early 2009 Bushfires in the area.
'Steavenson' is the correct spelling of the falls. They are named after John Steavenson who first visited the site in 1862 whilst surveying the area.
I filmed, edited, narrated and performed the music in the film. It is my first using Abobe Premiere Pro CS6.
The footage was shot on a Panasonic HDC SD-900 with a wide angle lens. The beginning driving footage was shot on a Samsung Galaxy S2.

The walking paths and viewing platforms have all been rebuilt since the bush fires devastated the area. You can walk to the top of the falls along a well made path and enjoy the majestic views from the top viewing platform.
Farmers Market - The Barn at Yering Station
The Barn at Yering Station holds a farmers market on the third Saturday of every month from 9am until 2pm. It has been running for 11 years and is the only covered market of its type operating in Victoria.
