Travel Australia: A Short Doco about Steavenson Falls.
Travel Australia: A short documentary film about Steavenson Falls in Victoria, Australia.
The Falls are near Marysville which is a couple of hours drive from Melbourne. It was filmed on a rainy and misty day. It is a tribute to the many lives lost during the early 2009 Bushfires in the area.
'Steavenson' is the correct spelling of the falls. They are named after John Steavenson who first visited the site in 1862 whilst surveying the area.
I filmed, edited, narrated and performed the music in the film. It is my first using Abobe Premiere Pro CS6.
The footage was shot on a Panasonic HDC SD-900 with a wide angle lens. The beginning driving footage was shot on a Samsung Galaxy S2.
Steam Train! Wow its Puffing Billy in Australia
Steam train, really? Wow, yes, real steam train! Puffing Billy is Australia's Premiere Preserved Steam Railway. This century-old steam train is still running on its original mountain track from Belgrave to Gembrook in the scenic Dandenong Ranges and is a genuine relic of more leisurely days. The Railway is the major survivor of four experimental lines used to develop rural areas in the early 1900s. Amazing!!! Russian girl travels to Australia :) My round the world trip.

GOLD!! Warrandyte State Park - Gold Heritage Walk (A Brief Visual Tour) [Fourth Hill, Warrandyte]
Warrandyte State Park - Gold Heritage Walk (A Brief Visual Tour). Located about 30 mins East of Melbourne towards the Yarra Valley
A reasonably easy bush and track walk that could be done in 40 mins but we saw enough interesting sites and relics that it ended up being a 6km, 2 hour trek. The whole area is covered in old gold diggings.
This video shows the mines of the are along with the Miner's Hut, Mine Shafts, Diggings & the monument marking the area where the first gold was found in Victoria that sparked the Gold Rush of the Mid 19th century.
There is a lot of info online if you go to the following site;
