What you will see in this video:
- the famous Sellaronda, which is circular ski route around the Sella massif. You will pass the four Ladin valleys: Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Val di Fassa and Arabba. The tour can be done in both directions, clockwise or anticlockwise.
- the mountain Lagazuoi and Cinque Torri, along the Grande Guerra. The Grande Guerra ski tour is the First World War ski tour, and one of the most spectacular ski tours in the Dolomites. The track goes along the mountain Mount Col di Lana, which is the centre point of the First World War tour. Along the route you will find yourself between the nature and history of the Dolomites. The track is in total 80 km (49 mi) long and you will drive the longest ski slope in the Dolomites, from the top of Lagazuoi ( descends towards Armentarola in Alta Badia.
- the Queen of the Dolomites, the mountain Marmolada, which is the highest peak of the Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site with its 3342 meters of altitude. From the top of the Marmolada you can enjoy one of the longest slopes of Dolomiti Superski, the 12 km long La Bellunese (which is also connected to the Sellaronda ski tour). There is even a small museum on the top of the Mount Marmolada, called “Marmolada Great War Museum” which is about the battlefield during WW1 in the Dolomites.
- Santa Croce, which is a pilgrimage destination situated at 2,045 meters of altitude right in the middle of the Fanes. The small restaurant next to the church serves the best food ever!!!
- Seceda-Col Raiser-Rasciesa skiing consortium, with the beautiful view of the Langkofel Group and the Dolomites, as well all the mountains from Ortles to Großglockner (in Austria).
- and much much more :)

Driving the Dolomites Mountains & Italian Alps - Italy Honeymoon Road Trip Travel Vlog
NEW VIDEO: Best Beginner Camera for Photography and Video 2019
--~--
A recap of a 3 day and 2-night road trip through the Dolomites (or the Italian Alps) of northern Italy.
See all of our Italy road trip honeymoon travel videos:
--
After a week on the Southern Coast of Italy in Positano, Capri, and Amalfi, we headed inland to Tuscany and Lake Garda, finally ending up in the Italian Alps in Northern Italy. Despite the fact that it was mid-September, there was a light dusting of snow in the mountains the day before we arrived, followed by lots of lightning and rain. This resulted in dramatic clouds that greatly enhanced our landscape photography.
We greatly enjoyed the Dolomites and highly recommend a visit here if you love mountains and outdoor activities. Renting a car is a must in order to maximize your experience!
Places we visited in the Italian Alps (South Tyrol):
- Corvara
- Piz la Villa
- Alta Badia
- Cortina d'Ampezzo
Must-do activities:
- Ride the ski lifts and gondolas (open summer + winter)
- Hike and bike through the mountains
- Stop and admire the views
- Eat German food (this is the German-speaking part of Italy!)

Dolomites Mountains, Italy - Best Travel Destination
The Dolomites are a mountain range located in northeastern Italy. They form a part of Southern Limestone Alps and extend from the River Adige in the west to the Piave Valley (Pieve di Cadore) in the east. The northern and southern borders are defined by the Puster Valley and the Sugana Valley. The Dolomites are nearly equally shared between the provinces of Belluno, South Tyrol and Trentino. The Dolomites Mountains are true natural heaven, a rich show of the environment with rocks, woods and pastures.
Training from Munich Hauptbahnhof to Corvara in The Alta Badia Region of Italy
Corvara, Italy is such a worthwhile village to visit and great holiday destination - summer or winter. But getting is not easy. TIP: European trains may leave on time from its initial start point but do not arrive on schedule.
Travel is always an adventure!
Walk, Bike Hike Around La Villa in Italy Alta Badia Region
La Villa in the Alta Badia Valley is surrounded by UNESCO natural parks. This small town has many gorgeous hotels. A helpful receptionist at one directed us to the beginning of today's trail.
A church dating back to 1516 also gives La Villa village its German name: Stern (Star). A gazillion activities for people going on at the top of the cablecar makes La Villa, very popular. Fun, fun, fun...
Corvara, Italy ... near the Austrian border
Now this is a little town high in the Italian alps that is not easily accessible in the wintertime ... I tried it and failed. But in the spring and summer it is really beautiful. I suspect it's beautiful in the winter, too.
