Weesen, Walensee St. Gallen SWITZERLAND 湖
Weesen is a village at the end of Lake Walenstadt in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Due to its sheltered location Weesen has a very mild climate; The annual mean temperature is around 11.3 ° C. Therefore, here thrive plant species such as various palms, figs, lemons and kiwi fruit. On several vineyards good wine is produced, benefiting from the many hours of sunshine and a few ice days. Weesen not reach the almost Mediterranean climate of Quinten, but remembered by his appearance and the Mediterranean atmosphere of a Ticino village.

Auf dem Monte San Salvatore, wo einst Mönche die zum Tod Verurteilten zum Schafott begleiteten, hat man eine 360 Grad-Rundsicht über den Luganersee. In weniger als einer Stunde fährt man von den Palmen der Riviera in Montreux zu den wilden Felsen der Rochers-de-Naye mit Aussicht auf den Genfersee. Der Muottas Muragl oberhalb von Pontresina bietet einen Blick über die magische Seenlandschaft des Oberengadins und die Berninagruppe. Fünf spektakuläre Aussichtspunkte der Schweiz, alle bequem mit einer Bahn erreichbar.

Die Wasserfälle am Walensee in der Schweiz sind von schier unvergleichlicher Schönheit. Die Seerenbachfälle gehören zu den höchsten Wasserfällen der Welt. Auf einer Tour mit Christian Steiner, dem ortskundigen Guide und Höhlentaucher können das beschauliche Örtchen Betlis am Walensee und die Wasserfälle erkundet werden. Auch über die direkt nebenan liegende Rinquelle mit ihrem verzweigten und noch weitgehend unerforschten Höhlensystem weiss er – von zahlreichen Tauchgängen – einiges zu berichten. Die eine oder andere kuriose Geschichte über Betlis verleiht jeder Führung zusätzliche Atmosphäre.

The Paxmal is a Peace Monument, whose basic idea is the peace for everyone. Karl Bickel (1886-1982) created a place of contemplation, meditation on man and his objectives, his life and his company forms. Bickel died with 96 years in 1982 Schrina-Hochrugg. The Paxmal is an exciting place of wonder.
Despite the amount of Walenstadtberg there is anecdotal farms. Alpine pasture high above Lake Walensee. Enjoy the place among the monumental Churfirsten and look down on the deep blue of the lake.

Walensee, Switzerland
Walensee - a lake located 60km south-west of Zürich. It is situated between two cosy towns Weesen and Walenstadt. A very popular destination for sailing, bathing, and hiking. Surrounding mountains have great skiing slopes, too.
