Arden municipality was a municipality in North Jutland County on the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark until January 1, 2007. The municipality covered an area of 228 km2, and had a total population of 8,513 . Its last mayor was Hans Christian Maarup, a member of the Social Democrats political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Arden. The municipality was created in 1970 due to a kommunalreform that combined Astrup, Store Arden, Oue-Valsgaard, Rold-Vebbestrup and Rostrup municipalities.
