Bagnone is a comune in the Province of Massa and Carrara in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 120 kilometres northwest of Florence and about 35 kilometres northwest of Massa in the Lunigiana, facing the Monte Sillara, which has a peak elevation of 1,861 metres . The communal territory is crossed by the Bagnone torrent, a left affluence of the Magra River. Sights include the castle, the churches of San Niccolò and San Leonardo and the oratory of San Terenzio . Museo Ferrari is a Ferrari company museum dedicated to the Ferrari sports car marque. The museum is not purely for cars; also on view are trophies, photographs and other historical objects relating to the Italian motor racing industry. The exhibition also introduces technological innovations, some of which had made the transition from racing cars to road cars. It is located just 300 m from the Ferrari factory in Ferrari's home town of Maranello, near Modena, Italy. The museum first opened in February 1990, with a new wing being added in October 2004. Ferrari itself has run the museum since 1995. The total surface area is now 2,500 square metres. Torrechiara is a frazione of the comune of Langhirano, in the province of Parma, northern Italy. It is especially known for its massive castle, built by Pier Maria II de' Rossi , count of San Secondo, between 1448 and 1460. The building was thought not only as a defensive structure, but also as mansion for the count's lover, Bianca Pellegrini, for which a famous hall, the Camera d'Oro was built with decorations by Benedetto Bembo, sibling of Bonifacio Bembo. Scenes of the 1985 film Ladyhawke were shot at the castle.

The Rocca Sanvitale, or Sanvitale Castle, is a fortress residence in the centre of the town of Fontanellato, near Parma, northern Italy. Construction of the moated block, accessible through a drawbridge, was begun in the 13th century, mostly completed by the 15th century, with embellishments continuing through to the 18th century. It is prototypical of the urban castle-houses of the turbulent medieval communes of Northern Italy. Until the 1930s it was the home of the descendants of the Count of Sanvitale. The crenelated walls and asymmetric towers are surrounded by an arcaded town. Adjacent to the castle are gardens and a courtyard. We spend two weeks in Fivizzano, a wonderful village enclosed in mountains and hills in the Lunigiana region in Italy. We wandered around and took part in Mangialonga (literally 'long eat'). This event combines a 13 kilometer hike and five courses of Italian food during the breaks.
