Bonjour et bienvenue pour cette nouvelle visite guidée par New York Habitat ( ). Aujourd'hui, nous allons continuer notre visite du Quartier Latin, à Paris.

Cette vidéo est la deuxième partie d'une série de trois volets sur le Quartier Latin à Paris. Ne manquez pas les parties 1 ( et 3 ( de notre trilogie consacrée au Quartier Latin.
Le Quartier Latin s'étend de la Seine au sommet du Mont Sainte Geneviève, une colline appelée ainsi en hommage à la patronne de la ville de Paris et qui est une destination très populaire regroupant touristes et locaux.
Musée National du Moyen-âge
Nous commençons cette deuxième partie de visite guidée par le Musée National du Moyen-âge Cluny. Ce bâtiment qui fut construit par Jean de Bourbon puis agrandi par l'abbé de Cluny entre 1485 et 1510, ceci dans un style gothique flamboyant.
Les Thermes de Cluny - Bains Romains
Les Thermes de Cluny sont les ruines d'un complexe thermal (bains romains) construit durant le 2ème siècle et qui font aujourd'hui partie des plus anciennes ruines de Paris. Se trouvant à l'angle du Boulevard Saint-Germain et du Boulevard Saint-Michel, ces thermes étaient composés de deux gymnases et de bains chauds ou tièdes.
La Sorbonne
La Sorbonne est un bâtiment du Quartier Latin qui fut construit en 1257 et qui devint l'une des universités les plus renommées du monde. Un parc se trouve au centre du bâtiment, qui a conservé son observatoire se trouvant dans la grande tour de l'ancien département des sciences.

Les restaurants
Si vous n'êtes pas d'humeur à cuisiner, vous avez de la chance car le Quartier Latin est connu pour ses nombreux restaurants. Voici une liste de quelques choix :
- La Fourmi Ailée, 8 rue du Fouarre, derrière l'église Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre, est un salon de thé pittoresque installé dans une ancienne librairie féministe.
- Le Café Panis, 21 quai de Montebello, se trouve à coté du pont menant à la Cathédrale Notre-Dame et peut-être une bonne option pour les végétariens.
- Le Météora, 9 rue de la Huchette, est ideal si vous êtes tenté par les restaurants ethniques. Ce restaurant grec propose de bons plats dans une bonne atmosphère.

Photography at The State Capitol and a Very Serious Road Trip
Photography in Austin is always centered around the state capitol building, and that's exactly where the channel started things today.

I got up before dawn to photograph the State Capitol building in Austin this morning. It's one of my favourite buildings in the US and one of the most photogenic buildings in the whole world. It's just really easy to take beautiful photos of this building.
My favourite time for photography at the state capitol is before sunrise. Not only is the light usually really good, but you tend to have this place all to yourself; as was the case with me this morning.
During the blue hour photography session, I got beautiful purple light and the beautiful contrast of colours at the capitol were on full display. Then, sadly, the light kind of just died on me. So, I headed back to my Austin hotel to wake @alajode up and get packed to hit the road.
This photography channel is on a bit of a road trip right now. We're moving east pretty quickly. So, the vlog continues by whipping through the rest of Texas onto Louisiana. A bit of a road trip day after the photography. But, all-in-all, I can't really complain.
