The Saddest City in America - Cairo
Tampa Bay Florida to Poplar Bluff Missouri. For the Trucks Gone Wild event. The drive is nearly 1000 miles. Completed in my antique 1995 Ford Escort wagon, taking interstate I-75 all the way through Georgia to Chattanooga Tennessee, where you can see lookout mountain from the interstate. Where I then took interstate 24 west across Kentucky Where I got re routed by google off the interstate on to some back country roads and almost ran out of gas until I found Duff's Market, where I gassed up then made my way into the southern most tip of Illinois, after crossing over the Ohio River I Approach a small old River town called Cairo. ,I found out this Ghost town once had a population of over 15k now only has 2300. This town was torn apart by racism, and the construction of a railroad bridge. It once was a through way of the underground railroad and freed slaves after the civil war was over.

The Most Haunted Town in America! Alton, Illinois
Spooks call this place home, and they have the potential of appearing at any time, to any person, at any location. It is said that limestone, a building material used in many Alton dwellings because of its supply nearby, holds psychic energy. The Illini Indians once dominated this place, along with the nearby convergence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. All this makes for a great ghostly paradise!

Driving a Truck over the Cairo Ohio River Bridge connecting Cairo, IL to Wickliffe, KY
This is the Cairo Ohio Bridge that carries US Highways 51, 60, and 62. It connects the town of Cairo, Illinois with Wickliffe, Kentucky. The bridge itself is the southern most crossing over the Ohio River before it meets the mighty Mississippi River. The bridge itself is a Cantillever bridge that opened in 1937. the total length of the bridge is 5,863 feet and 7 inches/1,787.26 meters long with the longest span between bridge piers being 800 feet/243.84 meters long, a width of 20 feet/ 6.10 meters, and a maximum vertical clearance for road traffic of 19 feet 6 inches/ 5.97 meters. This is all according to Wikipedia so I'd appreciate any additional info you viewers might know about this bridge.
It should be noted that at no point was I ever holding the camera. I placed it on my dash while I was on the road and I don't encourage others to hold anything while driving as that is considered distracted driving and that can go tragically wrong. Please use a wireless headset when on the phone and PLEASE STOP TEXTING WHILE DRIVING.
