Cavriago is a comune in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 70 kilometres northwest of Bologna and about 8 km west of Reggio Emilia. As of 31 December 2016, it had a population of 9,892 and an area of 17.0 square kilometres .The municipality of Cavriago contains the frazioni Case Nuove, Corte Tegge, and Quercioli. Cavriago borders the following municipalities: Bibbiano, Reggio Emilia. Cavriago is one of the very few places in Western Europe where a monument to Vladimir Lenin stands. The post-rock band Giardini di Mirò hails from Cavriago.
