Châteaugiron is a commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine department of Brittany in northwestern France. It extended on 1 January 2017 by merging with the former communes of Saint-Aubin-du-Pavail and Ossé.

The Château de Trécesson is a medieval castle in the Brittany region of France. It is located in the commune of Campénéac near the Paimpont forest and on the edge of the military camp of Coëtquidan. It is a private property. It has been listed since 2012 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

The Château de Fougères is a castle in the commune of Fougères in the Ille-et-Vilaine département of France. The castle was built on a naturally protected site, a rock emerging from a swamp surrounded by a loop of the Nançon river acting as a natural moat. It had three different enclosures: the first for defensive purposes; the second for day to day usages in peacetime and for safety of the surrounding populations in times of siege; and the last for the protection of the keep. In all it has an impressive 13 towers.

Day 50 - TDF en Stop (Day 3) Mont-Saint-Michel - Saint-Malo - Rennes

Day 3 of my adventure within an adventure (Tour de France en Stop) and the last day spent hitchhiking with Gaëtan. We were dropped off at Mont-Saint-Michel by Olivier and Prescilia after breakfast and hitchhiked to Saint-Malo. After a day in Saint-Malo, we hitchhiked to Rennes and explored the city at night and was generously hosted by a lovely Russian student named Olga. :)
