Chlewiska Palace / Manor House SPA
Chlewiska Castle - the beginnings of buildings in the area of today's complex can be dated to the beginning of the 12th century, when Piotr Dunin, the then owner of the surrounding properties, built a wooden fortress, probably a defensive one. In time, the owners of Odrowąż became the owners, who in time adopted the name Chlewiccy. The creation of the nucleus of the present object dates back to the end of the fifteenth century. In 1605 the castle was rebuilt and renovated by Wawrzyniec Chlewicki, which is reported by the memorial plaque. Chlewiccy were in possession of the castle and surrounding properties until 1661. In the 18th century, the owners of the castle were Józef and Aleksander Podkański, who initiated subsequent reconstructions in the building, changing its defensive character into a residence. In 1801 the castle was bought by the Sołtyków family, which was taken away in 1831 by the Russian government for participation in the November Uprising. In 1886, the stables were added. The object is bought by Ludwig Broel-Plater in 1895, his descendants inherit it. The last owner of the castle complex was Manor House SPA, which bought it in 1999. Currently, the buildings serve as a recreational and training center. Source: Wikipedia
