Coimbatore District is a district in the Kongu Nadu region of the state of Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore is the administrative headquarters of the district. It is one of the most industrialized districts and a major textile, industrial, commercial, educational, information technology, healthcare and manufacturing hub of Tamil Nadu.   • 1. Topslip Tiger Forest Pollachi
    Anamalai Tiger Reserve, earlier known as Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park and previously as Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary, is a protected area located in the Anaimalai Hills of Pollachi, Valparai and Udumalpet taluks of Coimbatore District and Tiruppur District, Tamil Nadu state, South India. The Tamil Nadu Environment and Forests Department by a notification dated 27 June 2007, declared an extent of 958.59 km2 that encompassed the erstwhile IGWLS&NP or Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary, as Anamalai Tiger Reserve under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. According to the National Tiger Conservation Authority, the Reserve presently includes a core area of 958.59 km2 and buffer/peripheral area of 521.28 km2 forming a total area of 1479.87 km2.

  • 4. Moyar River Mudumalai
    The Moyar River is one of the tributaries of the Bhavani in Tamil Nadu, South India. The Moyar river originates from a small town called Moyar off the Masinagudi–Ooty road. This is a natural line of separation between Bandipur and the Mudumalai sanctuary to the south. The Moyar River Gorge is 20 kilometres long and is also called the Moyar Canyon. The river flows into the gorge below Theppakadu in a roaring waterfall called Moyar Falls. This river is checked by Bhavanisagar Dam on the plains near Satyamangalam, along with the Bhavani River.
