Columbiana is a city in Columbiana and Mahoning counties in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 6,384 at the 2010 census. The larger portion of the city, located in Columbiana County, is part of the Salem, OH Micropolitan Statistical Area, while the smaller Mahoning County portion is part of the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman, OH-PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The childhood home of notable inventor and businessman Harvey S. Firestone, Columbiana is considered to be one of the most livable cities in the Mahoning Valley. 1. West Virginia Penitentiary Moundsville
Moundsville is a city in Marshall County, West Virginia, along the Ohio River. It is part of the Wheeling, West Virginia metropolitan area. The population was 9,318 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Marshall County. The city was named for the nearby ancient Grave Creek Mound, constructed 250 to 100 BC by indigenous people of the Adena culture.Moundsville was settled in 1771 by English colonists Samuel and James Tomlinson. Fostoria Glass Company was headquartered in Moundsville from 1891 to 1986. The retired West Virginia State Penitentiary operated in Moundsville from 1867 to 1995. On August 4, 1927, Charles Lindbergh landed The Spirit of St. Louis at Langin Field in Moundsville.

2. Talladega Superspeedway Talladega
Talladega Superspeedway, formerly named Alabama International Motor Speedway , is a motorsports complex located north of Talladega, Alabama. It is located on the former Anniston Air Force Base in the small city of Lincoln. A tri-oval, the track was constructed in 1969 by the International Speedway Corporation, a business controlled by the France Family. The track currently hosts the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and Camping World Truck Series. Talladega is the longest NASCAR oval with a length of 2.66-mile-long like the Daytona International Speedway, which is 2.5-mile-long . The peak capacity of Talladega is at around 175,000 spectators, with the main grandstand capacity currently being at about 80,000.

Standing at Ohio and East State St. The Salem and Perry Township Police and various boy scout troops participated. Politicians and Salem and Perry Township VFD were there also.

Unusual hillside cemeteries in Massachusetts, United States.

This video looks at the Hillside Cemetery in North Adams, MA, USA but I saw several others in the area (a hilly but not mountainous region of MA).

What I found interesting was the stepped nature of the cemetery with graves side by side but often several feet above/below each other. The stepped nature of the cemetery does not come out brilliantly in the video but I thought it worth sharing.

Mink Hollow Covered Bridge

The Mink Hollow Covered Bridge is located in Hocking Township in Arney Run Park , Fairfield County, Ohio. It spans the Arney Run tributary of Clear Creek.

Built in 1887 by Jacob Brandt, the bridge carried motorized traffic until it was bypassed in 1991. The bridge exhibits the multiple kingpost style of truss. Although diminutive by some standards at only 51 feet in length, the bridge boasts the longest official name of any covered bridge in the United States. Its official title is: The Mink Hollow Covered Bridge in Oil Mill Hollow over Arney Run near Borchers Mill. The bridge is owned and maintained by the Fairfield County Park District.

Had some company over from out of state, and heard that this place serves up breakfast occasionally. Incidentally, this was the morning of my birthday. Needless to say, I made my own breakfast that morning.
