7. Aare GorgeMeiringen The Aare Gorge is a section of the river Aare that carves through a limestone ridge near the town of Meiringen, in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. The gorge is an indirect product of glaciation; 10,000 years ago, just as the Ice Age was coming to an end, torrential runoff water from melting glaciers eroded a deep, narrow chasm through the limestone barrier. Although barely one mile long, this passage is bordered by sheer cliffs up to 165 feet high on either side. #CHRISTINEFtravels MILAN, ITALY and ZURICH, SWITZERLAND | Christine Fernandez Fabian
What to do in Milan if you have less than 24hrs to go around the city?
It was our first time to go around ZURICH. This time we met up with our dear friend, Ate Jing. And she took us around town and on to a sunset cruise by the Lake Zurich.
Zurich Fondue Dinner.....Food Fun and Amazing Sights
Zurich Switzerland is located in the heart of Switzerland about 3 hours from the Alps and very close to major cities such as Munich and Lucerne. Zurich is located on a large, beautiful lake that serves as a focal point for recreation throughout the year.
Enjoy a charming walk through the altstadt (old town), stroll all one of the many lake parks or take a romantic riverboat cruise on a paddle steamer. The paddle steamers on Lake Zurich are just as charming as Lake Lucerne.
