Scotland is part of the United Kingdom, with Edinburgh being its capital. The only larger city than the capital is Glasgow and these two are visited by so many tourists every year. However, what makes Scotland so special is not only the vibrant city life that it offers, but something more wonderful that cannot be compared to anything that a city offers.
Castles, green highlands and lowlands, forests, lochs, rivers and national parks – Scotland has it all and every piece of its landscape is so perfectly designed by nature that you will be amazed like never before. The country offers so many beautiful places to be seen, that a regular 10 day vacation won’t be enough. You will understand why Scotland is the perfect country for nature lovers!
1. Three Sisters, Glencoe
Many tourists come here to see the dramatic beauty of Beinn Fhada, Gearr Aonach and Aonach Dubh, all three together known as the Three Sisters. These three are ridges from the Bidean nam Bian, a complex mountain located in the south of Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands. Glencoe is considered to be Scotland’s second most popular and scenic Highland glen, but the gateway to the highlands too. Here you will find all the mountain fun you can possible imagine, including for family time too.
2. Luskentyre Beach, Isle of Harris
The Luskentyre Beach is one of UK’s best beaches and certainly the best one on the west coast of South Harris in the Outer Hebrides. What makes this beach so special is the long, white sand beaches and dunes and the turquoiuse water. There’s nothing better than enjoying the beauty of nature on this sandy coastline, being surrounded with the Harris Hills and Mountains. Besides the beach fun, if you show at the right time, you might even spot wild ponies, eagles, seals and even dolphins.
3. Trossachs National Park
The Trossachs National Park together with the Loch Lomond became operational in 2002 and were officially opened by Princess Anne. The park is split in four distinct areas and each of it is going to offer you amazing view – from mountains to lowland landscape, from lochs to rivers – everything that you would love to see in nature. The National Park has 21 Munros (mountains above 3,000ft), 20 Corbetts (mountains between 2,500ft and 3,000ft), 22 larger lochs and about 50 rivers and large burns.
4. The Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye
The Old Man of Storr is a large pinnacle of rock that you won’t find anywhere else, except on the island of Skye. It is located in the north of the isle in an area called “Trotternish“. The Old Man is also the most popular route walk on the isle and covers a distance of almost 4 km. The route is suitable for almost anybody, but at the foot of the Old Man you need to be careful, as the road becomes steep and scramble.
5. The Quiraing, Isle of Skye
Here’s another attraction on the Isle of Skye. It is the Quiraing walk that passes through one of the most scenic Scottish landscapes. We are sure that the whole green scene, the high cliffs, the pinnacles of rock, all the surrounding will take your breath away! The Quiraing walk covers a distance of almost 7 km and it takes on average two hours to complete it. It’s not suitable for everyone because it is classified as “hard” when it comes to difficulty and “medium” when it comes to the walk’s length, but if you think you can manage it, it’s definitely worth the try.
6. Loch Awe
Loch Awe or Lochawe is located in the region of Argull and Bute, and it is also the third largest and the first longest loch in Scotland. The loch is known for trout fishing and for the nearby village that has the same name. It is a very small village, it only has a 19th century chapel and a railway station and streamer pier. Near the loch you can see this old castle – such a Scottish scenery, isn’t it?
7. The Old Man of Hoy, Orkneys
Located on the island of Hoy, the Old Man of Hoy is one of the oldest sea stacks in the United Kingdom. It stands close to Rackwick Bay and is approximately 250 hundred years old. However, it is possible that soon it will collapse in the sea. That being said, take your chance while it is still there and if you love climbing, you can take one of the seven routes and climb it.
8. Northern Lights, Shetland
Maybe you didn’t know this by now, but the Northern lights can be seen from some parts of the country. The best time of the year to see the Aurora Borealis is during autumn and winter, when there are longer periods of darkness. You can spot the Northern Lights from the northern parts of the country, such as Shetland in Orkney, Lewis in Harris, Moray Coast, the most northern part of Isle of Skye and others.

10 Things to do in Cambridge Travel Guide | London Day Trip video transcript:
Today we are here at Kings Cross station and we are going on yet another day trip. Another one. Where are we off to? Another day trip from London. We're off to Cambridge today.
There are a number of trains from Kings Cross to Cambridge with journeys ranging from 45 minutes to a little over an hour and a half. Buying your ticket in advance is always a good idea as you can get a better price, and it’s also wise to travel off peak.
If you decide to walk into town like we did, Cambridge University Botanic Garden makes for a nice little stop. The garden has over 8000 species.
It is lunchtime for us and we've walked over to the Regal. Apparently this used to be a hotel, then a cinema and now it is a pub. I've ordered breakfast and Sam is having lunch. I'm waiting for my eggs benedict and I think you're having a Steak and Ale Pie? And a pint of Guinness
Feeling stuffed from that pub fare, we started making our way into town, and it wasn’t long before we came across the River Cam which was teaming with punters. Some made it look easy, while others were struggling, but we had a different idea and decided to go visit one of the colleges.
As a fun fact: The University of Cambridge was founded in 1209, just a few decades after Oxford University, making it the second oldest university in the English-speaking world. It is divided into 31 independent colleges, and our first one of the day was Queens College.
The most popular thing to do here in Cambridge aside from of course exploring the University is to go punting. It is very crowded out there.
So next up we're inside the Great Saint Mary's Church and we're going to be climbing the tower because apparently these are the best views of all of Cambridge. We like to climb towers.
The spiralling staircase is quite narrow and it has to accommodate traffic going up and down, which requires being a contortionist at times, but that’s how you earn those views!
Next up we are doing Trinity College and this is the largest college here at Cambridge University and also it was founded by Henry VIII.
That is basically it for our travel guide from Cambridge. I feel like we barely put a dent in Cambridge. We are back at the station just waiting for our train now back to London.

This is our second time visiting Glasgow, UK and our city guide is a combination of footage from our visit this year and last year. Glasgow has a thriving food scene (both Scottish food and International) and we give you a thorough food tour as we bite our way around the city.
In terms of major attractions Glasgow (Glaschu) doesn't have many iconic places to visit as nearby Edinburgh; however, I feel one of the advantages it has over Edinburgh is that the city is more spread out and each neighborhood has a distinct character.
One of our favorite places to visit was the University of Glasgow which has a campus that would make Harry Potter proud. Whether we were visiting breweries or distilleries or having seafood for lunch or dinner we found no shortage of things to do in Glasgow, Scotland.

Since we never got around to making a travel guide on our first visit, today we’re going to be combining the footage from both of those trips to show you some of the best things to do in Glasgow and also some of the best places to eat and drink it. So let’s get started!
And that’s a wrap for our visit to Glasgow, Scotland. We loved our two visits and we’d gladly return for a 3rd. This is an amazing city for foodies and there are so many great bars, restaurants, breweries, and distilleries to visit.
Also FYI - if you’re already visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow is just a short 50-minute train ride away, and it’s a city with its own unique vibe.

Good morning here in London. Today we are taking a day trip. Yes, we sure are. And we're heading off to Oxford. I mean this is obviously a destination that is quite famous. The most famous University in the world.
It is not far from London. So it is a day trip. We're really excited. We're going to film a travel guide to Oxford.
A couple of tips to keep in mind if you're traveling by bus. It is usually cheaper if you book in advance. Also, we noticed that weekdays were cheaper than weekends so we are going on a Friday today and got a good deal.
We made it. We have arrived and that was an awesome trip. We got to see London and the countryside.
Food always comes first. We're about food always. We cannot go sightseeing without a bite of food. We found a pub that is nice and cozy. We're right in the corner and this place apparently specializes in fish and chips.
The University of Oxford has no known foundation date but teaching of some form has taken place here since the year 1096 making it the oldest University in the English speaking world. Today the University is made up for 38 self-governing colleges a few of which are open to visitors.
So one of the things you can do when you visit Oxford is go around and tour the different colleges. We paid two pounds and now we're inside Trinity College.
Trinity College was founded in 1555 and it’s one of the smallest colleges in Oxford admitted just over 400 students. This college has produced some noteworthy figures, including a few prime ministers.
We also saw had a quick glance at Radcliffe College and the Bodleain Library, before continuing on to the University Church.
This is the oldest Botanic Garden in Great Britain and it was originally founded as a medicinal garden. The Garden was also frequently visited by Lewis Carroll, an Oxford mathematics professor, and the gardens were a source of inspiration for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
Oxford Castle is a partly ruined Norman castle dating back to Medieval times. During the 18th century it housed the local prison, but today those same walls are home to a hotel.
So I think that is a wrap for our day trip to Oxford. Time to catch our bus. We're tired but we've done the main things we wanted to do. I hope you guys enjoyed this travel guide to Oxford and that it gives you a good idea of how you can kind of explore the city on a day trip from London. If you can come for longer because we wish we had 2 or 3 days here.

There are many famous things to do in London, but if you're a food lover like I am, one of the best choices you can make it to take a trip to the historical Borough Market. The market is one of the most well-known in all of London. The history goes way back, and it was formerly a place where people came and gathered to trade and sell their fresh produce. For many years it was very informal and without structure. But the official Borough Market was established in 1885, the place that we can visit today.
We were only in London for a couple of days, attending the Chowzter.com food awards ( and one thing I knew we needed to do, was visit Borough Market with an empty stomach. It was Friday morning at about 10 AM when we decided to go - and I think it was just about a perfect time - because many of the vendors were just opening up, and the market wasn't as packed as it could be. The best things to do as soon as you arrive to Borough Market is to take a leisurely stroll around and see what is available for you to eat - there are too many things to eat in one visit, so it's important that you choose wisely, and decide what you want to eat.
Some of the most famous things include the salt beef sandwich, the grilled cheese sandwich, the duck confit sandwich, chorizo, and many other delicious things. But along with cooked food, there's also a range of cured meats, and wonderful cheeses. I also really enjoyed the fresh produce, which included a nice variety of mushrooms and beautiful heirloom tomatoes.
But anyway let's get back to the food, and I'm talking about the food ready to be eaten. As soon as I arrived I saw a stack of cheese and olive bread-sticks which were piled high like a pyramid. That was my first treat. The long bread-stick was crusty and embedded with salty cheese and delicious olives. While walking around, in the back part Borough Market, we decided to try a Portuguese egg tart. It was good but I thought it could've been better if it was a little warmer. Next up we tried a sausage on a stick from a place called Boston Sausage. I added a bunch of English mustard to it, and I think that's what made it so good.
If you want to drink coffee, when you visit London's Borough Market you cannot miss the famous Monmouth coffee shop. It can be quite busy and hard to find a seat, so we decided just to get takeaway coffee, as I really needed something to wake me up and keep me energized to eat more. My little shot of macchiato was fantastic.
Back to the food, we went to a place called Brindisa and ordered up one of their famous chorizo sandwiches. The chorizo was very tasty, and had a nice spicy flavor to it, but I thought the bread was way too big for the amount of meat. If I ordered it again, I would for sure get the double chorizo. Finally for my last sandwich at Borough Market, I went with the famous duck confit sandwich. You'll see the incredible pan of duck confit when you visit the market, and if you're like me, it should entice you to eat it immediately. When you order, the vendor fills up a bunch of duck into a ciabatta roll. The duck was incredibly tender, juicy, and oily, and it was amazingly tasty. That just about wrapped up everything I ate at Borough Market in London. There were still many more things I wanted to try, but like I said, it would be a near impossible feat to eat everything in one visit to the market. If you want to eat and you're in London, this is one of the best places to visit.

How to get to there: I think the easiest way is to take the London underground tube to London Bridge Station and then just follow the exit signs that will lead directly to Borough Market.
