This summer I got to go to China's Shandong province for vacation. I gotta say it was a pleasant surprise because I didn't think highly of China as a vacation destination. I was wrong and had a great time and met people of Chinese decent from all over the world.

Our 2nd food stop in China is Jinan (济南). Jinan is the capital of Shandong province in Eastern China, and it is often called the Spring City for its famous 72 artesian springs. Shandong cuisine (山东菜), or Lu cuisine (鲁菜), is one of the Eight Culinary Traditions of Chinese cuisine and one of the Four Great Traditions (四大菜系). The cooking methods of Lu cuisine focuses on quick frying, roasting and boiling. Jinan-style food is generally sweet, aromatic, fresh and tender.

Located in the Eastern China, Jinan, the capital of Shandong Provice, is the city where currently I live. It is called the Spring City for its famous 72 artesian springs.
The Black Tiger Spring is one of the largest and most famous springs of the city, and derives its name from the shape and color of the rock, which resembled a black tiger.
The best place to relax in the city centre is Daming Lake, one of city's main natural and cultural landmarks.
