Kaarina is a small town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Southwest Finland region and is a neighbouring town of Turku, which is the capital of Southwest Finland, therefore Kaarina is a part of the Greater Turku region. The municipality has a population of 33,335 and covers an area of 179.58 square kilometres of which 29.15 km2 is water. The population density is 221.73 inhabitants per square kilometre . The municipality is unilingually Finnish, with a Swedish minority and e.g. a Swedish comprehensive school. Bilinguality was proposed but rejected 2015. Naantali is a town in south-western Finland, known as one of the most important tourist centres of the country. The municipality has a population of 19,168 , and is located in the region of Southwest Finland, 14 kilometres west of Turku. The town encompasses a land area of 311.50 square kilometres . Most of this area is located on the islands, but the majority of the population lives on the mainland. Most of the islands are covered with forest and farmland, while the mainland consists chiefly of residential areas.

Skärgårdens ringväg, the archipelago trail. Bicycling pieni rengastie in archipelago Finland. My route is Röölä - Hanka - Seili - Nauvo (Reso Röödilä - Själö - Nagu). Polkupyöräretkeä Turun saariston pienellä rengastiellä. Aiheina myös Hämmärönsalmen lossi sekä Ms Östern. Ms Östern kulkee kesäisin reitillä Nauvo (Nagu) - Seili (Själö) - Hanka.

To Utö Island you can get with the M/S Eivor ferry. The voyage to Utö starts at Pernäs (the ferry place between Nagu and Korpo) and it will take about 4 hrs. On your way you will pass the Fagerholm Island, - the border guard island. To Pernäs you get along the ´skärgårdsvägen´ (Archipelago road), which starts in St.Karins and continues out to Nagu, Korpo and Houtskär via Pargas.
