Passport And Visas Requirements To Enter The UK
Please note: Following the recent referendum vote for the UK to leave the European Union (EU), there are currently no changes in the way people travel to Britain. The following guidelines still apply:
If you're planning an adventure to the UK, depending on your nationality and your reason for visiting, you may need to organise a visa.
If you're an American, Canadian or Australian tourist, you'll be able to travel visa-free throughout the UK, providing you have a valid passport and your reason for visiting meets the immigration rules (link is external).
Citizens from some South American and Caribbean countries as well as Japan are also able to travel visa-free around the UK.
European Union citizens, non-EU member states of the EEA (Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland), Switzerland, and members of the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) do not need a visa to enter the UK.
If you have any further visa questions visit the official UK government website.

Mackay: Filled with wildlife and history
The Mackay region is an inviting blend of secluded beaches, elusive wildlife and rural communities. The district is home to over 120,000 people and is nicknamed the 'sugar capital of Australia' producing more than a third of the nation's cane sugar. The natural encounters are abundant within the district and include Cape Hillsborough National Park, where the local kangaroo population roam the sandy white beaches; and the Eungella Hinterland, home to the elusive platypus.
Just off shore also lies the Cumberland Island group which are protected by the Great Barrier Reef. Most of the islands are national park, including the majority of Brampton and Keswick Islands. Many are also important rookeries for the protected flatback and green turtles. St Bee's Island hosts a large colony of koalas currently being researched by Earthwatch. These fabulous locations just off Mackay's coast will suit those who wish to snorkel and those who prefer to cruise our pristine waters while relaxing onboard and taking in the spectacular scenery.
