We also enjoyed horse riding, beach biking & atv riding on the beach. But food was not tasty.

Ahsan Manzil - Ahsan Monjil was the official residential palace and seat of the Nawab of Dhaka. The building is situated at Kumartoli along the banks of the Buriganga River in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Sundarbans - Sundarban is a natural region in southern Bangladesh and the extreme southern part of the Indian state of West Bengal in the vast river delta on the Bay of Bengal. It is the largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world. The Sundarbans covers approximately 10,000 square kilometres (3,900 sq mi) most of which is in Bangladesh with the remainder in India.The Sundarbans is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.[5]
Sundarbans South, East and West are three protected forests in Bangladesh. This region is densely covered by mangrove forests, and is the largest reserves for the Bengal tiger. The Sundarbans National Park is a National Park, Tiger Reserve, and a Biosphere Reserve located in the Sundarbans delta in the Indian state of West Bengal.
Rangamati- Rangamati is a district in south-eastern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Division and the town of Rangamati serves as the headquarters of the district. Area-wise, Rangamati is the largest district of the country
Kuakata sea beach - Kuakata is a town known for its panoramic sea beach. It is located in south-eastern Bangladesh, and is the number two tourist destination in the country. Kuakata beach is a sandy expanse 18 kilometres (11 mi) long and 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) wide.[3] From the beach one can have an unobstructed view of both sunrise and sunset over the Bay of Bengal.

This time we are in kuakata kuakata patuakhali bangladesh . We Visit some impotent tourist spot at Kuakata like gongamotir sunrise view point , gongamotir lake, lebur chor, bogar chor, lal kakra beach, jawbone, rakhain polli, Etc. Near the Buddhist temple, Rakhain market is situated. There is a giant Buddha statue in Misri Para which is about 6 km far from the Kuakata Sea Beach. This statue is about 30 feet in height. You can also make a small journey in the sea.Small parts of Sundarban is seen from Kuakata . Kuakata is a town known for its panoramic sea beach. কুয়াকাটা বাংলাদেশের দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমাঞ্চলের একটি সমুদ্র সৈকত ও পর্যটনকেন্দ্র। পর্যটকদের কাছে কুয়াকাটা সাগর কন্যা হিসেবে পরিচিত।
১৮ কিলোমিটার দৈর্ঘ্যের সৈকত বিশিষ্ট কুয়াকাটা বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম নৈসর্গিক সমুদ্র সৈকত। এটি বাংলাদেশের একমাত্র সৈকত যেখান থেকে সূর্যোদয় এবং সূর্যাস্ত দুটোই দেখা যায়।
পটুয়াখালী জেলার কলাপাড়া উপজেলার মহিপুর থানার লতাচাপলী ইউনিয়নে কুয়াকাটা অবস্থিত। ঢাকা থেকে সড়কপথে এর দূরত্ব ৩৮০ কিলোমিটার, বরিশাল থেকে ১০৮ কিলোমিটার।
কুয়াকাটা নামের পেছনে রয়েছে আরকানদের এদেশে আগমনের সাথে জড়িত ইতিহাস। 'কুয়া' শব্দটি এসেছে 'কুপ' থেকে।
ধারণা করা হয় ১৮ শতকে মুঘল শাসকদের দ্বারা বার্মা থেকে বিতাড়িত হয়ে আরকানরা এই অঞ্চলে এসে বসবাস শুরু করে। তখন এখানে সুপেয় জলের অভাব পূরণ করতে তারা প্রচুর কুয়ো বা কুপ খনন করেছিলেনে, সেই থেকেই এই অঞ্চলের নাম হয়ে যায় কুয়াকাটা!
দর্শনীয় স্থান -
ফাতরার বন - সমুদ্রসৈকতের পশ্চিম দিকের সংরক্ষিত ম্যানগ্রোভ বন, যা 'দ্বিতীয় সুন্দরবন' হিসেবে পরিচিতি লাভ করেছে।
কুয়াকাটার 'কুয়া' - কুয়াকাটা সমুদ্রসৈকতের কাছে রাখাইন পল্লী কেরানীপাড়ার শুরুতেই একটা বৌদ্ধ মন্দিরের কাছে রয়েছে একটি প্রাচীন কুপ।
শ্রী-মঙ্গল বৌদ্ধ বিহার - প্রাচীন কুয়াটির সামনেই রয়েছে প্রাচীন এই বৌদ্ধ বিহার।
কেরানিপাড়া - সীমা বৌদ্ধ মন্দিরের সামনে থেকেই শুরু হয়েছে রাখাইন আদিবাসীদের পল্লী কেরানিপাড়া।
আলীপুর বন্দর - কুয়াকাটা থেকে প্রায় চার কিলোমিটার উত্তরে রয়েছে দক্ষিণাঞ্চলের অন্যতম বড় মৎস্য ব্যবসা কেন্দ্র আলীপুর।
মিশ্রিপাড়া সীমা বৌদ্ধ মন্দির - কুয়াকাটা সমুদ্র সৈকত থেকে প্রায় আট কিলোমিটার পূর্বে রাখাইন আদিবাসীদের আবাসস্থল মিশ্রিপাড়ায় রয়েছে একটি বৌদ্ধ মন্দির, যাতে রয়েছে উপমহাদেশের সবচেয়ে বড় বৌদ্ধ মূর্তি।
গঙ্গামতির জঙ্গল - কুয়াকাটা সমুদ্র সৈকতের পূর্ব দিকে গঙ্গামতির খালের পাশে গঙ্গামতির চর।
এছাড়াও এখানে রয়েছে লাল কাকড়ার চর, লেবুর বন, শুঁটকি পল্লী, তিন নদীর মোহনা ইত্যাদি।

কিভাবে যাবেনঃ
সদর ঘাট থেকে প্রতিদিন ৮-৯ টার মধ্যে বেশ কিছু লঞ্চ বরিশাল এর উদ্দেশ্যে ছেড়ে দেয়। সেই লঞ্চ এ করে প্রথমে বরিশাল লঞ্চ ঘাট যেতে হবে। তারপর একটা অটো নিয়ে রুপতলী বাস স্টেশন এ যেতে হবে। সেখান থেকে কুয়াকাটার উদ্দেশ্য বেশ কিছু লোকাল বাস ছেড়ে দেয়। যে কোণ একটায় উঠে পড়েন। সেই বাস ই আপনাকে নামিয়ে দিবে কুয়াকাটা জিরো পয়েন্ট বিচ এ।

কেমন খরচ হতে পারেঃ
খরচ আসলে ফিক্স কিছু না, রাফ আইডিয়া দেওয়া যায়, যেমন বরিশাল এর লঞ্ছে গেলে ২৫০ টাকা ডেক ভাড়া আবার ১০০০-৫০০০ টাকার কেবিন ও আছে। বরিশাল থেকে কুয়াকাটার বাস ভাড়া ২৫০ টাকা।হোটেল এর ভাড়া ৫০০ থেকে ১৫০০। আবার ফাইভ স্টার নামের হোটেলে গেলে নাকি ১০০০০ ও হতে পারে।
মোটর বাইক বা ভ্যানে লেবুর চর- ২০০-৪০০ টাকা।
মোটর বাইক এ করে গঙ্গামতীর চর ( সব গুলা স্প ট সহ)- ৫৩০ টাকা।
ট্রলার এ করে ফাত রার বনের উদ্দেশ্যে ক্রুজিং- ২৮০ টাকা পার পার্সন।
খাওয়া দাওয়া ১০০-১৫০ টাকা পার পার্সন পার বেলা।

Kuakata (Bengali: কুয়াকাটা) is a town known for its panoramic sea beach. It is located in south-eastern Bangladesh, and is the number two tourist destination in the country. Kuakata beach is a sandy expanse 18 kilometres (11 mi) long and 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) wide. From the beach one can have an unobstructed view of both sunrise and sunset over the Bay of Bengal.
Kuakata offers a full view of the sunrise and sunset from the same white sandy beach in the water of the Bay of Bengal. Locally known as Shagor Kannya (Daughter of ocean), the long strip of dark, marbled sand stretches for about 18 kilometres (11 mi). The long and wide beach at Kuakata has a typical natural setting. This sandy beach has gentle slopes into the Bay of Bengal. Kuakata is also a sanctuary for migratory winter birds.
On the eastern end of the beach is Gongamati Reserved Forest, an evergreen mangrove forest and snippet of the original Kuakata. When the Rakhines settled in the area in 1784, Kuakata was part of the larger Sundarbans forest. However, the Sundarbans is now at a distance of one-hour by speed boat. As a mangrove forest, Gongamati, like the Sundarbans, offers some protection against tidal surges, however it too is being threatened by logging and deforestation. The best way to reach the forest is by foot or bike along the beach, where a flock of flag flying fishing boats can be seen trawling the coast. Choosing to visit Gangamati in the late afternoon is a perfect time to watch the sun cast shadows on the abstract exposed mangrove roots.
The name Kuakata originated from the word Kua English word “Well” dug on the sea shore by the early Rakhine settlers in quest of collecting drinking water, who landed on Kuakata coast after getting expelled from the Arakan (Myanmar) by Moughals. Afterwards, it has become a tradition of digging Kua-Well in the neighborhood of Rakhaine tribes for water.
ocally known as Sagar Kannya (Daughter of the Sea) is a rare scenic beauty spot on the southernmost tip of Bangladesh. Kuakata in Latachapli union under Kalapara Police Station of Patuakhali district is about 30 km in length and 6 km in breadth. It is 70 km from Patuakhali district headquarters and 320 km from Dhaka. At Kuakata excellent combination of the picturesque natural beauty, sandy beach, blue sky, huge expanse of water of the Bay and evergreen forest in really eye-catching.
Kuakata is one of the rarest places which has the unique beauty of offering the full view of the rising and setting of crimson sun in the water of the Bay of Bengal in a calm environment. That perhaps makes Kuakata one of the world’s unique beaches.
Kuakata is truly a virgin beach-a sanctuary for migratory winter birds, a series of coconut trees, sandy beach of blue Bay, a feast for the eye. Forest, boats plying in the Bay of Bengal with colourful sails, fishing, towering cliffs, surfing waves everything here touches every visitor’s heart. The unique customs and costumes of the ‘Rakhyne’ tribal families and Buddhist Temple of about hundred years old indicate the ancient tradition and cultural heritage, which are objects of great pleasure Kuakata is the place of pilgrimage of the Hindus and Buddhist communities.
Innumerable devotees arrive here at the festival of ‘Rush Purnima’ and ‘Maghi Purnima’. On these two days they take holy bath and traditional fairs are held here. All these additional offers to panoramic beauty make the beach more attractive to the visitors. One should visit Kuakata and discover the lovely grace of Bangladesh.
The long and wide beach at Kuakata has a typical natural setting. This sandy beach has gentle slopes into the Bay of Bengal and bathing there is as pleasant as is walking or diving.
