Missouri Town 2017

Swope Park Hiking - Kansas City

We were finally able to get out and hike the Rancho Deluxe Trail in Swope Park this weekend. I believe the official name is “Swope Park Mountain Bike Trail”, but there are two different loops: Woodchuck Run (5+ miles) & Rancho Deluxe (Around 4.5 miles). If you’re a hiker, keep your eyes and ears open for oncoming bikers. This is definitely one of the more scenic trails we’ve completed in the Kansas City area and hope to make it back out again this summer. The trail offers a good mix of rocky terrain and slight elevation gain. Vegetation is finally starting to get green so it’s an awesome time to check out this hike.

Columbia MO: Flying over Bass Pro, Home Depot, U.S. Highway 63, and I-70 too. | 10-24-2016

I'll start out in the parking lot of Furniture Row in Columbia at daybreak. We'll fly over and around the Bass Pro that's there and make it as far as Home Depot. We'll also catch the sunrise. Then it's off to Columbia Honda that's located right next to I-70. We'll see the power plant and some other buildings around there. I did loose signal, so I was flying by sight, and the turns were quick.
